Everything up front went smoothly, but I'm having some major problems in back. There is a bolt at the bottom of the strut, which is a fork with a bushing in the center. The head of the bolt broke off. The nut on the other side of the fork was welded to the strut, but with enough force that was broken off. So right now I've got a bolt going through both sides of the fork and thorugh the bushing, and as far as I know nothing is left threaded. The bolt will not come out. I've tried hitting it with a sledge hammer and heating it up with a torch but it hasn't budged at all. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I should go about getting that out? I'm in the same situation on both sides of the car (in the rear).

 

Drill the bolt out.

Best way to go would be to drill the bolt out and tap in a new one.

 

I've got the strut/spring assembely off of one side, but part of the bolt is still stuck inside of the bushing. I can't seem to get the bushing out either. I'm gonna need two new bushings, where should I get these, and how do they come out of there?
