Default h22 sputtering at low rpm

i have an h22 in a 1993 si. Recently when im at about 2,000 rpm and slam the gas in any gear, the car sputters and there is no power but then a second or 2 later it will take off like its supposed to. Also going into 1st it does the same thing at low rpm. any ideas what it could be?

Any CEL's? Check the sparkplugs and cap & rotor.

I have the same problem. Something tells me its either the ignitor or the knock sensor.

im not showing a cel. it started happening right after i was teaching someone to drive stick. they stalled horribly and jerked the car a lot and reved it high a few times. i dont see how that can cause the problem though

Mine does same thing especially after rough clutch engagement

it sucks.

bookmarking this thread, because i have a feeling its not the knock sensor if yours indeed is related to the kid being rough on your clutch.

a lean mixture can cause a hesitation when you go quickly into WOT, backprobe your o2 sensor, you might find a problem. I can't help you on specs. Though a rule of thumb is .40 volts and below is lean .45 volts and above is rich.
