H22 Help. Bogging when letting off the gas/coming to a stop.
Hello, well as some of you know i got my h22 running and just saftied it today
This problem im having is.. the car seem to run fine and every thing is good when driving (dosnt seem like theres any bogging or anything, pulls hard.. vtec works ). but when i let off the clutch or take it out of gear to come to a stop. It seems to almost want to stall out. The rpms drop down to 400-500 for about 3-4 secs, then back up to normal idel (750 or so) and stays there steady.
One thing that i think may have to do with it is i have the stock jdm h22a headers on there matted up to pretty much strait 3" exhaust. Theres a resenator and a magnaflow muffer but thats it. Could this be why its bogging when letting off the clutch or taking it out of gear?
another thing but i dont really think it would be why but for the knock sensor when i wired it i dont think i used a grounding wire, just some of the normal stock harness wire. Maybe its throwing knock but would it couse it to do this?
I really need this fixed, if anyone knows or has something to say please let me know.
Daniel

It sounds like your idle is alittle low and the IACV is not catching the motor when you let go.
You can rinse your idle by jumping the service connector, then turning the flat-head screw (brass) on the top. left of the TB. It should be like 850-900 on a warm motor.

No, the knock sesnor has no affect on the idle. The reason why the knock sesnor is a shielded wire is that it is a low voltage signal, thus other high(er) voltage wires around it in the harness will give a fault signal to the ECU. The ECU will think the motor is knocking and pulling the timing.
