H22a in ek hatch
Hello there I have a 1996 civic hatchback and it currently has a obd2 dohc zc thats built and boosted but im looking to switch to a na build and am wanted to do a h22a swap ive found a good priced motor and am planning on running the 1320 tri y header for ek swap I have hasport mounts for the swap and I plan on using hasport axles as well but wiring is where the issues and questions come up Im well aware that rywire or carrot top is the best for harnesses but im a but confused on what ecu I should use the engine comes with the type r ecu to match but its a obd2b ecu from what ive been able to find and since my ek is obd2a and the harnesses are obd1 that makes it a 3 way mess but im wondering if theres any ways to keep the factory type r ecu with maybe like a obd2a to obd2b jumper or something or is it better to just do the p28 on s300 and if thats the case does anybody know anything about wiring vtec and the butterfly valves for the swap. Thank you kindly.
You didn't say it was a euro r h22 ecu. Just send a message to rywire and have them make you exactly what you need. You'll have the correct length harness for the h22 on the engine side and the right combination of ecu plugs and sockets for 2a to 2b.
