Dealer tried to charge me $128 for 4 spark plugs
Had my car in today for timing belt special and dealer did inspection and said my plugs need to be changed. Well while the valve cover was off I had them replace the spark plug seals and valve cover gasket. He tells me $128 for 4 plugs. I told him he was dreaming. I am well capable of doing these as I have done on all my cars. Another service adviser tells me they take platinum plugs and are more expensive. I told him I didn't just get off the boat. Ya. More expensive! Like $10 ea at the parts store. I find it hard to believe people actually have the dealer overcharge them.

I spent $37 on new plugs for my Prius. Same deal, platinum plugs.
It's not so outrageous if you think about it. Labor rates at $80/hr would put it right at $120ish for plugs+tax and labor.

That doesn't make sense. $32/plug is a lot of money.

Well if they were charging MSRP, it'd be $24/plug.
I'd definitely be looking elsewhere. How much are they charging you for the T-belt replacement?

I don't know what the general consensus is but I've heard a lot of scattered stories about how some/many Honda dealerships can be a bit.. spotty.
I've never paid more than $30->$45 for a nice set of NGK Iridiums.
