Agree. I had issues with new seam sealer sticking to the old stuff when I resealed my trunk. I ended up buying a pneumatic gasket scraper at Harbor Freight for like $20 and using that to remove the old sealer, then finished with a wire wheel. After that the new 3M urethane seam sealer had no issues sticking properly.

I pretty much removed all of the seam sealer in the areas by the windshield seams, the only place i didnt completely remove it was up near where the front fenders are. i applied a bunch of new seam sealer and then coated overtop of that.

Alright, i have a few updates. i went to the local upull yard and snagged an undamaged climate control system for the car since i broke mine. 30% for the day, so i believe i paid $18 for it? I also grabbed just about every fender liner clip and side skirt clip i could find.

Then that night i finished up the paint work for around the front windshield.

Then Sunday all hell broke loose. I have never, EVER been so sick in my life. I am still not 100%, hell i'm not even 50%. I got the flu so freakin bad it sent me to the ER Monday night, which I am very glad my wife forced me into that. Despite being sick, Wednesday morning the glass company came out and installed that rear glass i pulled from the yard a while back, and installed a new front glass with new window trim. i still need to install the side trim pieces, but it will be nice having clear glass finally.

Now i can start really putting this car back together. Maybe not this weekend though, i still feel like i need to sleep for about a year...

Change out those rear speakers while you're at it. A decent pair of 6x9's with dynamat on the whole rear deck lid makes a world of a difference.

Dynamat is definitely going there. The rear speakers look a little weather beaten, but they still sound amazing. i forget what particular model, but they are decent Kenwoods.

I have officially surrendered to the door panel inserts. I'm tired of fighting with them, i'm going to see if I can get someone to make me some new inserts. I worked with these in the sun yesterday for a few hours. It got up near 70 so it should have been plenty warm enough. 2 of them still wouldnt stretch enough to fit, one was waaaay off (last image). Ignore the tan splotches.

I would just rock a clean set of tan door panels and call it a day.

I had this idea of going with the black and tan theme on the interior, but its just not working out how i wanted it to look. And the leather inserts that i had painted are just in too poor of condition to look good in any color on these door panels...back to the drawing board.

I've tried to do something similar a few years back. Black inserts, shifter plate, airbag tray, door panel trim and pockets...it didn't look right in the end to me. If you plan on sticking with tan, just keep it clean and you're good. Just my opinion, of course.

Thats where I'm at irght now. I mocked up one of the doors with all of my pieces and the black was so random i just couldnt get past the randomness. It looked good in my head as i was planning it out, but it wasn't so great in execution.

So here is an interesting thing. I swapped out my bulbs in the climate control to LED because half of them were burnt out. Well, half of them are still burnt out with all new bulbs. Could something be bad on the board? this is annoying...

Turn the ones that still don't function 180 degrees. Polarity makes a difference for most LEDs. If that doesn't fix it, then I'd say the board is bad.

i hope its not the board, i see where the light fixture screws into the board. think the board can be tested with a volt meter to see if there is any power getting to that point?

Like GreatWave said, try flipping them 180 degrees.

Also, Integra clusters are pretty simple, they're a single layer of copper in a flexible plastic sheet and you can see all the traces. If a bulb isn't working you can use the continuity checker in a multimeter to make sure the trace has a good connection all the way back to the plugs. Also, sometimes the pads get corroded so you can clean them off with a scotch brite pad or some similar abrasive.

Flipping them 180 degrees wont work, these are all one piece.

https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...-led/221/7737/

Last night i did attempt to clean the copper contact areas. So strange, i got the bottom two lights to light up (only one did before), but now the top ones do not light up (where one did before). So......i think i will clean a little more tonight and see if that is the issue. I'm assuming it is because it worked before i messed with it, and these units are just plain old. they could use a good cleaning.

Those are the same lights I have! You can actually rotate them 180 degrees, that was the issue I had with mine. Sounds like cleaning is working for you so far though, and it definitely won't hurt.

To rotate them 180 degrees, wouldnt you have to basically unscrew them into the board? if that makes sense?

No, you pull them out and then spin them 180 and drop them back in

So, LED bulbs work now. I must have had a really long week at the office last week or something.....Not sure why that was so hard for me to comprehend lol .So thats all put back together. I did find another switch i'd like to replace to LED, but i'm not sure where the other bulb is?

The green bulb is the one that powers the light under the fog lights symbol when the light is activated. I cant find the bulb for the "running light" of the fog light switch. The one that lights up the symbol. I'm assuming i have to take apart the switch?

Current state of the car

And the reason I have been slacking so much on the car. I have been spending basically every free second I get hanging out with this little guy. He is so great, hands down the best thing i've ever done lol. Cant believe he will be 6 months old in just a couple of weeks.
