Fun car day already. The ladies new Porsche already decided not to start after 5 days doh! So I tried messing with it a bit but decided to let them handle it and finish my seats.
The special hog ring pliers came in and they work real well. Can’t wait to get it back from paint.
Had this sitting around to do forever but figured I should finally do it since I hopefully get the car back tomorrow.
Came out better than I thought. It’s actually pretty strong two layers of sign board. I still need to figure out how big the gap is underneath since I won’t have a spare tire and wanted it supported with some foam. Need the car back first for that.
This looked awful to me, the black carpet of the ITR rear seats will help
but it needed to be redone. Is lighter too
Should look good once I get the car back together.
OEM one had a rubber support down to the spare tire. Since I am removing that just need to get a new one to make up for the distance. Should have an update about it by Sunday.
I’ve never got a car painted before so is that super long or something? I know he’s cutting and buffing it too as well as having the windows put back in with new seals so maybe that’s holding it up? Has to cure to be cut and buffed? I have no idea but definitely rguy’s guys cousin.
Idk, I have a buddy who owns a shop, did bodywork to fit wheels, sprayed, custom fitted bumpers to my other buddy’s LS430 and was in and out in 2 weeks
