Re: C.A street sleeper!! want feedback/comments lots a pics!!***
Just want to share a upgrade that made a world of a diffrence in performance. With my current setup on a base map from Pheriable the car I thought ran pretty good for a base map, wrong! At idle afr read 12.5 and part throttle was ocasianally at 13.5 to 14.5 but would always dip rich around 11.2 to 12 at any given time and 10.5 in boost!! so it was very inconsistant.
I installed a basic catch can kit from projectimport.com and as soon as it was Intalled everything changed, fo...r the better that is.. Afr at idle is perfect at 14.5 to 16.1 part throttle is always at 14.5, and full throttle in boost a solid 12.5! Not only did my afr get corrected but the engine feels so much more solid and stronger it feels like a 20 hp difference which is allot!
So I was getting allot of blow by in my combustion chamber using the oem pcv system which is stupid when your as modified as I am and still using the stock breather system.
Also strangely I needed a spot and a bracket to mount the catch can and I found a stock throttle cable bracket I had around and it literally fit and mounted my can perfect where it's at. The mounting point I used was the bracket the oem air box bolts to, I removed the air box bracket long ago and it worked out perfect lol.

Nice work, yeah I know they make a lot of difference. I’m replacing my current breather tank with one in my stock battery location so I have to move that. Can’t wait to post when this is all done! Keep it up man

Looks good! I recall Endyn way back in the day had the first can like this (an old Moroso retrofit) and it supposedly worked great. Is your can internally baffled? Good to see you haven't given up the ghost on your car and are still rocking it.

Thanks brotha, yea its similar the Endye kit and it is baffled. I haven't yet given up even though lately it had some bugs that drove me over board but im so happy to say for the first time in a long time the engine is actually in tip top shape knock on wood and runs excellent! its so good I don't feel the need to dyno tune but I will because there's still more mods to come!

lol good luck this thread has gone in so many directions haha
Well I plan to possibly do a Coil on plug conversion but haven't really decided yet. I busted a axle and will be replacing that, I do have allot of vibrations mostly do to the busted axle but I did notice a increase in vibrations after the NRG torque damper install. After I replace the axle I will evaluate this damper a lil more and if it is indeed from the damper ill probably remove it, I don't remember much vibrations after install but right now there's massive vibration going 80mph, steering wheel shakes like crazy and the car feels very unstable. ill have to take a look at my suspension when I get a chance.
Ill post some pics of the welded 90 deg elbo I welded on the blower because the rubber elbo kept falling off and exposing the impeller which is how my blower got damaged the first time a while back. So now the filter never falls off from vibrations and is safe!
I'm very close to getting her tuned, I have a new Toda Header to install but I'm going to weld a carb plate on the runner as I do all my exhaust manifolds because cops are constantly looking for these mods to not have the carb numbers so they can bust you on illegal mods so that's a must before the new header goes on. There's the Flex fuel sensor left to install and I should be ready to get the motor tuned up.
I'm also debating on a new car to daily instead of my 1999 Civic hatch back which I actually enjoy driving but I got my eyes on a new 2017 Jeep Compass Latitude I hope to buy then comes a trailer to haul the car to the track with the new Jeep. That's the ultimate goal with the car, to actually get to enjoy the car at the track for fun of course, it will never be the fastest or best handling car out there but ill have my fun with the car with no expectations of competing against others cause that's not why I built the car, its built for me to enjoy.

Thanks yea its probably the only thing left from the original car. I will install Grams micro fuel filters soon when I get around to installing the new fuel pump and flex fuel sensor.
I plan to install a speed factory transmission spring upgrade it should be a cheap but good upgrade.
Add enjoyment to your driving experience with this simple to install and inexpensive upgrade that gives improved feel and shift action as you engage each gear. The SpeedFactory HD Detent Spring Kit is a set of upgraded coil springs that increases the positive ratcheting feel of your transmission, with an over 80% increase in spring rate over the soft factory springs.
These spring kits are suitable for use in any car, street or track and are ideal for anyone desiring improved shifting feel.
Greatly improved tactile feedback/feel of each shift also helps ensure that the fork is fully in the desired gear position, and that it stays there.

I didn’t even know those were available! I’ll be pulling my trans soon to swap in the LS 5th gear so might as well do this then too..not that it’s any easier then... (and my axles- dang DDS 2.9 axles sound like my snap on ratchets!)
good stuff man!! Can’t wait til both ours are tuned! Come to the Midwest!!!

What’s up man?!? Well after swapping 5th gear, my 1st, 2nd and Rev don’t want to go in or out easily.... the throwout bearing I got looks like a knockoff garbage unit so i have to change that back out. I had dropped my oem and broke an ear off the TOB... Springs are definitely noticeable!
hows your beast?!?!?
