I think it would be so handy for things to be lashed to (first aid, dog stuff, trash bag, always ready camp things) on the lower portion. I inevitably lose that area always loading camp stuff because of the shape, usually I stuff soft stuff back there. Would also serve to lash cooler in the back and then on the d-rings built in...uhh could maybe make out of something similar from "grid wall" like they use in retail stores hmmm

Wouldn't be too hard to weld, my concern is how to mount it.

Actually it is mounted without any bolts
I can take it out in 5 min
Its fixated with two "hooks" that you attach behind the rear seatbelt bolt.
The lower fixate to the upper part in the same way.

Haven't been on here in a while but thought I would give a quick update on my 03 CRV with 3" lift.

Well my girl does most of the driving in this anymore and recently I drove it and noticed the front right side pops and clunks all the time and then when you hit a bump the front right tire just bounces up and down rapidly. So I know that the struts are bad and possibly the lower ball joint. To make sure I got everything all at once I ordered KYB Front and Rear Strut Plus assemblies along with a front end kit to completely rebuild the front end. The kit has 2 Front and Rear end links, 2 front lower ball joints, both inner and outer tie rod ends, and 2 lower control arms. I figure since the truck has 185K miles on it, It wouldn't hurt to get everything refreshed.

I will for sure. It was between the KYB Strut Plus or the Monroe Quick Strut. Read lots of reviews and the KYB is just better. Costs a hair more but they are better. Will be getting them done Friday hopefully.

Doing all that will tighten it up considerably, just finally finished doing the front end on my 03 CRV with all KYB shocks, Dobinsons 40mm lift springs and MOOG components. I would go ahead and do the new lower ball joints if you can all at once but it will be considerably more shop time. In turn, if you need to do axles too, then would be the time with the ball joints to save time...16 y/o cars need this maintenance if driven hard though. I love the way mine rides now, firm all around and tight steering again. I do like the MOOG upper strut mounts compared to the KYB units, the bearing/bushing is much better quality. GL!

Just got the motor mounts and axles in today so I set up a time to have it all done this Friday. Figured since I'm replacing everything else I might as well get these too. Plus I got the axles from CarID for $40 a piece, Cardone brand and the set of 4 motor mounts was $47 shipped. Can't go wrong. Will update after I get it back.

Also getting the interior redone. The fabric is falling off the door panels so I'm getting that quoted tomorrow and then what it will cost to do the seats to match. After all is done, new wheels and powdercoat for them is coming and then probably a paint job.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and tried going through all 100+ pages of this thread. I just bought som 215/75/15 BF Goodrich AT KO2s and put them on my stock rims, I took and angle grinder to the tabs in the rear hubs and I am not seeing any rubbing. I am looking for some black D-Window style wheels (15x7) but I dont like the red pin striping on the Crager D-Windows. Does anyone have recommendations on flat black or gloss black off road wheels? Hoping to find something in the $60-$100 range that the Cragers run.

Well dropped the CRV off Friday morning at 7am to get the work done and they called me back before close on Friday and said it would be Tuesday afternoon before they get it done......how in the world does it take all day Friday, Saturday, Monday and half of Tuesday to complete this job? Either they are trying to milk it, or they messed up. Either way I'm not at all happy about this and am not looking forward to their bill for "shop time"

I'm a mechanic and sometimes "**** happens" maybe they are screwing you but remember it's also like a 20 year old car, it might not even be your car they are having problems with. so who knows. ...
Besides that they should have given you an estimate for labor time. Where I am, we have to give a price before we start and we can't charge more than 10% extra when we're done but we always charge our quote or less.
Hope it all works out for you.

Yeah when I picked it up Tuesday they told me they didn't even get started on it Friday. They started Monday. Why schedule me for an all day slot and then keep my truck all weekend. It's my wifes and she was left stranded all day every day while I work 6-6. The final bill came to $700 and now when I accelerate up to 40 mph under half throttle or more there is a very bad vibration somewhere. So now I have to take it back.

Bad vibration is likely due to aftermarket axles.

Finally lifted it, aerogenics spacers 1" front 1.5" rear pilots wheel with 225/70/16 the spare barely clears the rear window. Over all it is now approximately 3" higher up than stock.

Does anybody have any advice?

I saw these....

I also saw these but the tech support at jegs say they do not work and I need a wheel with a +30 - +40 offset. I see people on this thread with -6mm offsets on their 1st Gen

For a rim to fit, you need to consider four things.
Size, bolt pattern, central bore and ET.
I might be blind but I don't see a lot of info on the Jegs.
