AZ_Civic's car? Nah, that's drag-strip only and would not likely survive long as a street car. His is built with a specific purpose. The higher the power level, the less practicality you'll have on the street. Bottom line.

So, for something like his.. No. not worth it in the slightest. He's in man's territory now, my friend.

Ive daily'd mine at 550 for 2 weeks here n there... had stupid shizzz go wrong here n there like vac lines popping off but otherwise mines reliable

Is that's with trying to not sneak in a pull here and there right? I got custom machining on my 5th gear (Long Gear) to where the rpms drop down to 2450 rpm at 80mph to save me the trouble with two maps (E85 and 91 gas). I'll for sure take your word for it because I'm not building a full on kill mode specifically for drag. Street killer prelude

i use the accord trans for longer gears... i get to 130 in 3rd....

of course im getting on it and embarassing mustangs... lol.. cant have an 11second car and drive like gramma

Well it's kind of funny but I just renewed my registration for the race car for another 5 years. So technically the car is registered and insured, once in a while I take the car for short drives around the neighborhood but not for any daily type uses. When you build a car to kill, especially a Honda it becomes less and less made for the road. Plus you don't want to put stress for no reason on any part you know, like Shodan said my car is built specifically for the track.

I'll be dailying the race car, I commune to work just a 5 min drive so it's not all bad. I'll make sure I take your advice and I'll buy another whip for daily use along the road

I haven't been on this site for quite awhile and when I did, I was excited to see another H22 build and can appreciate your desire to keep the ATTS! However, take it from my experience, saving some time and money, and do not 1) run the eManage Ultimate, and 2) try to keep the original ATTS functionality. Especially with your high HP goals. I've attempted both.

There are some misconceptions about the SH differential/ATTS hardware and how it operates. But if you end up going to a standalone ECU, or OBDI conversion..etc, you can keep the existing ATTS hardware with the ATTS ECU disconnected. What you'll end up with is equivalent to a heavier LSD. For me it was worth not having to create a custom mount for the SH block to install a half shaft and to use a BASE transmission. I've ran the car this way daily for approximately two to three years with ~300whp.

As many others have said, you should reconsider the RC fuel injectors and use ones with newer technology (ID, FIC...) for smoother running and adequate fuel. You will also have to consider your choices for clutch hardware to hold the power. Good luck! Excited to see the build.

I will go with your route (Disable ATTS ECU) then convert OBDI. Is there a forum build for an ODBI conversion etc? I'll look for a thread post. Thank you for your information

OP.....

#1 - Stop being a troll.

#2 - Learn from the mistakes of others.... get rid of the ATTS and swap a base trans in. Make an adaptor plate like I did way back in 2002 when we figured this out. You aren't going to be some kind of pioneer who's discovered how to keep it, it wasn't designed for the power it won't work. If you can "custom machine things" then you can make a flat plate with three holes in it and run a base trans with a LSD.

#3 - Good luck on e-manage and those injectors.

#4 - Custom machined 5th gear? Right.... and a Motec exhaust too?

But I probably don't know what I'm talking about either..... :: looks at signature ::

I have a custom machined 5th gear... ('95 DX 5th pair cut down in height to fit inside my '00 H22A4 trans.), but I still can't find a Motec Exhaust system... I settled for a Thermal 60mm.
