I know cams that make more peak power, and cams that will make more midrange, they're really not all that great. Most guys end up with 200-220whp which was being done in 2002 just fine.

Yes they can make power, but I do not think a 1.8 with mid-to-high compression and weak supporting mods is a key candidate for Pro 2s.

pro 2 is alot smaller than whats advertised. so unless youve had them degreed, you probably think people are overcamming their engines. maybe this is why people tell you to degree your motors. pro 1 are alot smaller than advertised for example. they are 248/248 at the valve.

Skunk2 Pro2 -
Intake lift - 12.5
Intake duration - 263
Exhaust lift - 11.6
Exhaust duration - 273

This is not a small cam.

You can backpedal all you want, that doesn't change the fact that you suggest Pro 1s, Pro 2s, and Pro 3s, for every engine in the All Motor forum. Need I quote you?

If anything, the Ultra 1 cam is superior to the Pro 2 in every single way, so I just don't understand why you throw that cam at every motor you see.

Just degree'd my Pro 1's, duration was longer than advertised, lift was a bit smaller (they are used, might explain why).

@ zero lash, measured @ 0.040 lift. Centerlines are within 1° of the cam card.
Intake
264.5°, +6.5° of advertised

Exhaust
262.5°, +2.5° of advertised

0.040 is close enough to the 1 mm that Skunk uses on their cam cards for duration.

was there any sort of port & polishing done to the head? Did you try tuning on 93 pump or e85? Very similar to my setup what stroke crank did you use 87.2mm or 89mm ive always been told tuner 2 or 3 is best never been recommend pro 2's
