Can you post up the parts you replaced in the shifter? It's something i want to do at some point, I have a few of the parts in the cupboard for that.

What do you need? For example, part numbers? Pictures of the parts?

Part numbers would be awesome if that's easiest? Thanks!

Did you find it improved much? I'm guessing your shifter didn't have much play beforehand?

If your shifter has play, it's most likely deterioration of the front u-joint (near the transmission) due to an oil-seal leak in the transmission. If this is where your play is comming from, you either need new shift linkage, or get Hasport linkage repair kit. The factory u-joint is riveted in place and non-serviceable. The Hasport kit drills out the rivet and replaces the factory rubber bits with new plastic bushings.

Passed it's MOT inspection this morning with no advisories. Also had a new set of Bridgestone Potenza RE002's fitted on the rear wheels. I then swapped the wheels onto the front and the fronts onto the back. She now has Potenza's all round.

Klasse, have a look here Honda Car and Auto Parts | Honda INTEGRA | SHIFT LEVER | Genuine Honda Parts | Honda Cars | Honda Motorcycles | Honda Power Products | Lings Honda Car Parts Selection OEM

That's the UKDM parts. I think they are the same as the JDM, have a look here too SHIFT LEVER / honda | part list?JP-CarParts.com

If you get what you need from JP-CarParts make sure you quote them your chassis number and they will give you the correct parts for your car.

HTH.

I'm not sure where to go with the car over the next year or more. Do I replace parts slowly over the next few years or try and get everything I want done in a year or two and move on? The only reason to hold onto the car for more than a year or two more is because I am confident it will grow in value. I also don't want to fit all new parts now and then come to sell in 5 years time and they won't be so new. If that makes any sense at all. I could well be over-thinking the whole thing ha.

Kudos - this thing is beautiful. Brings a tear to my eye to see a DC2R properly restored!

Hope you enjoy it while you have it...

I woukd restore it the way you see fit. If your plan is to sell it, restore everything you want now because parts are still available.

If you wait, parts will be discontinued even more. Its hard enough to find parts nowadays.

Good luck and beautiful car as always

Thanks for that. A while ago I found some post that suggested replacing these parts:

Did you find anything else that needed doing? As 94eg! said I'll have to look into the linkage too.

Originally I only planned to replace 15 & 18 but decided to just replace everything in that diargram with the exception of; 29, 16, 17, 1, 24, 12, 19, 14, 13, 11 & 3.

I felt no difference after replacing just 15 & 18 but after replacing the other parts the shifter felt noticably tighter. It was never that slack in the first place but everyone seems to replace those main bushes(15 & 18), even Spoon, so I thought I'd do the same plus a bit extra.

Looking good Tom. Did you replace the headlight seals with OEM parts? Any chance you have the part number for the seals and their clips?

Went out for some pictures. In other news, on the way back I got a stone chip in my windscreen.

Sorry about the windscreen! Can it be fixed or will you need another one? Good opportunity for some new OEM moldings...
