Really cool that you saved a 5th Gen hatch, they are my fav.

Also cool that you got to do the work with your Dad. I am working on my '94 and hoping my little guy will take some interest in the work.

I can't wait to learn more about the Jackson SC - I was under the impression they did not fit the B18C1 in our hatches...
Give your little guy a few simple tasks. Everyone likes the sense of accomplishment gained after bolting something together. The SC fits just fine. I preassembled the whole thing and lowered the engine in with a cherry picker. Slow and steady. I'll need to fix some image links in the thread but it's a low priority task for me at the moment.

I don't know the exact year. It came out of another 5th gen. hatch. I'm assuming '94 or '95 based on the oil pump and the wiring colors and plugs in the engine harness.

And thanks for that, I will give it a try this weekend. I really like how much project work you go to to do with your Dad - precious time!

The two FSMs I have are for 1994 and 1998 and I downloaded them from hondahookup.

Here are the two pages from the 1994 Manual

Here are the two pages from the 1998 Manual.

Thank you so much. I found the '94 and '98 on HondaHookUp. From what I can see, somewhere around '96 is a little bit different, but I have been striking out finding the same info for '96 Thank you again!

Tied up a few loose ends and installed my battery and powered the pump to bleed the LHT system yesterday.

Going to drive around to a few shops today to see if I can score some engine break in oil. I also need to head over to the pick-and-pull to get an exhaust nut (one ******* nut) and some fuel hose so I can flush the small amount of old fuel I've left in the tank. I've already diluted it but don't want it going through my injectors.

So ******* close.

Sweet!

Are you in the city, or in a suburb? I used to live N of Chi-town. I don't miss the rust, but I watched some Cubs baseball last night - so close!!!

The more I read, the mo problems with this intake! Can't wait to see how you resolved it. This is definitely cooling my interest in forced induction on my EH3/B18C1.

Crank no spark. Checked @RonJ's write-up in the FAQ and watched a ETCG video. Bad Coil. Replaced the coil. SPARK!

Spark no injector opening. Fuel rain is primed and pump is working (not the walbro one I bought. That was bad, too. reinstalled the OEM pump for now...)

With key in ON, no 12v to injectors. Bad Main Relay? It can only be that or a bad connection or bad grounds. The wiring harness was fine before. I cleaned all the grounds. Gonna have to get a relay tomorrow...

All this stuff worked when I last had it all together....

Incredible! you find a crack in your block mid-way through 2013 and persevere through! This is why I am afraid to leave projects sitting for fear they will die a slow death and then one day you are trying to sell a shell with a bunch of parts in cardboard boxes - no bueno.

Then tranny problems, then coil problems, then injector problems - oh, the humanity!

Did you get it running? I saw your post in "What did you do to your ... today?"...

Swapped Main Relays between cars. Cranked for a few seconds but no luck. Didn't do any testing. I've got other **** to do today so... the project car can go **** itself for now. I knew this would happen.

The only fuse between the battery and the injectors is the battery fuse. It's fine. Phearable installed an S300 in my ECU. Maybe I'll try and see if it's telling me anything later. I don't even know how to use the software.

No. The brakes on my running DD were the ones making noise.

Hang in there mate! You obviously have the power to persevere. Go play with kittens or something fun this weekend. I have found several times that when I step away from the project and go do something else fun (time with the wife), that I get a fresh idea to help me solve the problem.

I don't tell the wife I am thinking about cars while we are hanging out together...

Good luck!

And glad the DD is not screwed at the same time!

Quick question - did you delete the "breather pipe" from the cooling system?

Mine is not there, a search for breather pipe in the Integra section produces 1 hit, w 0 replies...

Just want to make sure I have my cooling system set up correctly.

Just in case, I tried the project car main relay in my DD and it worked fine. So, it's not the main relay. That means I have a bad connection somewhere or there's something wrong with my ECU.

94 Civic Si, ask in your build thread and I'll respond there. You can tag me by using the utag bb code around my name. To do so, replace the quote characters in the following with brackets "utag"CX-Adam"/utag"

What works:
The Fuel Pump Works
The PGM-FI Relay Works
I have spark in all four plugs.
The battery is brand new.

What Doesn't:
My injectors aren't getting constant voltage (tested with voltmeter)

Possible Causes:
I've checked my grounds but will check again.
I've unplugged my injector clips and reinstalled.
I'll re-check the engine-to-cabin harness connectors.
I do not have an IAB valve plugged into the engine harness. I don't know if that matters but, checking my receipt, I thought I had an OBDII GSR engine when I sent my ECU to Phearable. Is it possible the base map tune is looking for something that doesn't exist? Like, the IAB valve?

Anyone have anything else I should check? Maybe some tips on navigating the Hondata software?
Connected my computer to the ECU for the first time after receiving it. The ECU reports a code 21. I checked the ECU plug, engine-to-cabin plug, and VTEC solenoid connector. Visual inspection checks out. I'll go through the troubleshooting manual later. I don't think this is linked to my problems with the fuel injectors not getting a signal, though.

I didn't do anything else on the quoted list.

Did you learn anything new about the Hondata software?

In short, I've spent the last week trying to diagnosis why my injectors weren't opening. I knew they weren't getting a constant 12V signal from the battery. I had checked the 80A battery fuse and verified the PGM-FI relay was functioning by following the test procedure. Tonight, I happened to stumble across the injector testing section.

The manual concluded that I needed to check the power wire. Tracing it back to the driver side shock tower mount, we noticed the engine harness side had become depinned. We pushed it back in and double checked that the injectors had a 12V signal. The car fired on the second crank.
