92 Si w/ B18C1 swap BAR'd, comes with Greddy CARB Legal Header, Skunk 2 CARB Legal IM, AEM Short Ram CARB Legal (would swap out) Mishimoto Rad, has megan coilovers (more than likely replace them) GSR leather seats front and back, 2007 Pioneer DIN Nav system(probably take out/sell) upgraded rotors all 4 corners, rota slipstreams with 205's on em. Spoon CF replica side mirrors, also has edm/jdm side-markers, not my style but oh well. Clean title, passes visual and smog test.

Only negative bout the car is the paint on hood and roof are shot, I was thinking of getting a CF hood for it if bought it or just prime them and try my hand at wrapping it in Matte Blue, rawr!

Default D16Y8 tranny, $200?

So my del Sol Si went up in smoke after 315K miles. I'm thinking blown head gasket, but I don't have the means to fix it. I'm curious if you can throw any old D series or B series on that tranny? If so i might just hold onto it and build a B series. I have a Honda tech who wants to buy the whole del Sol for $200, but I'm thinking the body alone is worth that, let alone tranny, ecu, rims, tires with good tread, t-top, etc. Paint is pretty rough, but still has clear coat in most places.

What should I ask for on this? Keep in mind 315,000 miles, and that engine is totally gone. If I'm only getting $200 I'd might as well keep it for myself.

Default are these JDM ITR seats?

I have a set of seats and trying to sell it but i have no clue whether it's JDM or USDM. I know that red recaros seat came with the civic type r and integra type r. Did some searching and it's just an optional. How much would they go for?

i know you didnt do it, but 99% of usdm itr parts floating around are from stolen itr's. nobody with an itr guts/throws away oem parts. the value depends on your area. i see full sets go for 3-500 depending on condition.

Ok they are USDM but still worth money though. I know for sure that JDM seats have Recaro and red on it.

So I bought this 1997 DX with 44K original miles on it 2 months ago. I paid $3,500. Wondering what something like that should actually go for if I were to decide to sell it myself soon (it's currently at 47K miles). Pictures in the attached Imgur link.

My (new to me) 1997 Civic DX w/ 44K original miles! - Album on Imgur

Unrelated but the car has manual locks and the (grommet?) that the handle connects to the door-lock linkage keeps failing. the metal 90-degree assembly pops out of the plastic grommet after 50 or so opening/closings. Since it's a point that has a lot of range of motion, i can't really put a zip tie on it to hold it together. The part that fails/doesn't hold the linkage is the white plastic piece seen in the top-left of this image

AS a manual seat w/ tracks is $35 at PicknPull, leather power buckets are under $50 each, $200 for those 2 is a hell of a good deal. [for you]. 94

Default $The Value Thread$ What's It Worth? Should I Buy? What's the Cost?

I have a dark grey 93 Honda Civic Dx Hatchback automatic third owner, bought the car in 2002 and am thinking of selling. The car is in original good condition except for crack in windshield and the roof paint is oxidized but no rust. Car has 148,000 and i have put 70,000 of those miles on myself. I just wanted to get some idea of what it is worth. I have no way of posting pics right now but it looks as good the one JaviITR posted for sale on 5-11-2016. Thanks

Been a Mitsubishi guy for years, and haven't had a car to play with for about 3 years now... Wanting to try something new so I'm looking for a Honda project. Found this 92 Civic hatch. Sad story is... The father is selling this car becuase it was his sons, and his son passed away. The father dosent know much at all about the car except (from my own research) I can tell it has a b18b swap. Has rear disk brakes installed. No AC, no PS. It's got full interior. It runs and drives fine, but aaaahhh we can't get the hood open . Looking inside though I'm pretty sure it's a LS swap by researching the shape of the vavle cover. It's decent looking. No major rust anywhere. Guy is asking $2500. I like it but its kind of a mystery car with the dad not being able to tell me much about it.

Main thing for me is that I find a 92-95 hatch or Integra that is not totally ratted out. This one has a decent body and interior. Idk about all the other mystery stuff though. Is the mystery Car worth $2500 or keep looking?

I'd be leery until you can get the hood open. Especially since it's paired with a sob story.

Reach up through the grille, grab the hood release cable and pull hard, this will usually open the hood.

I'll just warn you, someone swapped an Integra dash and cluster in there. Someone may have have done a nice job, or it may be a hack job. Same with the swap. There's nothing inherently wrong with buying an already swapped car if it was swapped correctly, but it really helps if you know what you're looking for.

Thanks we did get it open by reaching under through the front bumper.

I was stumped about that gauge cluster and thanks for the heads up that makes sense. The dash is a little loose and I wondered why it didn't quite fit right near the sides (just figured it was loose). Now I know! I got to take it for a test drive and it's OK, just rides like a stiff gutted car. Ingot the feeling that everything was just kinda half-***'d and so I'm not feeling it anymore. Especially since I got no history about who and how and what all has been done. Thanks

I've increased my budget now and got my sights on this!

It's a 100% stock 1995 Integra GS-R (well owner says white wheels is not stock). No mods. 212k miles. Everything works and is Fully functional.

Local Seller asking $3900

What's is worth?

Just to add a little more now that the hood is open and I can see. Some things to watch for are: Someone did wire tuck, even when done properly it's an absolute nightmare to try to straighten out a tucked harness. There's no VIN tag on the transmission, now this gets a little tricky, the holes are there for the tag, so either it's a JDM unit and never had one. OR someone removed the VIN tag. Throttle cable bracket is kind of a hack job. I can't tell for sure but I think that car had quarters put in at some point.

That looks a lot better. That's never been butchered and it looks to be in decent shape.

Default which steering rack to buy?

One is from detroit axle, one from united power steering. Both are remanufactured. Any difference? How long can I expect it to last?

Complete Power Steering Rack and Pinion Assembly 1996 2000 Honda Civic | eBay

1996 2000 Honda Civic Power Steering Rack and Pinion Assembly | eBay

Are there any other options? I can find much, just a few more companies selling remanufactured. Thanks.

Just to let you know if you have the money, Honda still sells this rack, it's remanufactured by American Showa (they made it in the first place)
It's about $400-500 for the rack.. Just in case you didn't know, I know it's expensive.

Here's the part number 06536-S04-515RM (for all 96-2000, except Si)
