so i know everyone said the eagles would be fine that that power but been told the rpm is limited to 9600ish i have a set of crower i beams i just got the other day there true crower not brain cower. 4340 steel billet rods with std bolts now are they better as far as rpm handling stand point as to the eagles with 2000 bolts. crower says they can handle the hp just no word about rpm.

If your looking for a cage I HIGHLY recommend Whitfield. It might cost a little more than some other companies but you spend so much more time making other kits fit. I bought a Whitfield for my teg and it was about 95% ready to weld in when I received it. The only thing that I needed to modify was the angle at which the rear bars connect to the floor which didnt take long at all. The main hoop already comes welded together also.

Here is a link to my build when I received my cage from Whitfield and also some pics of when it was installed.

As for the scatter shield, I dont have any input on which one is best but I know Golden Eagle makes one as well as Dynamic Performance. I will probably get this one when the time comes.

thanks for the input on the cage but decided to just bend up my own boss can get me the steel for under 150 to do a full over built 10 point. does anyone know if theres a mandated piping size on the cages? or thickness? will defiantly be buying that shield after tuning is done.

engine bay up date pistons coming in monday so block willl be bored late next week engine assembled this coming weekend. turbo will be here friday but its 110 here all week and going camping this weekend so mon night will mock up new turbo and start getting everything laid out as i have the old broken block in the engine bay.

injectors, fuel pump, top hats, clips, lsv kit, head gaskit, studs, rings, bearings, intake manifold already in and just waiting on the shelf.

thanks for all the input and guidness everyone on here has given me here at honda-tech

the nhra rule book has all the specs as far as roll cages go. section 20 page 21. fwiw i had a local guy do my 10 pt cage. he used an s&w pre bent cage, i did all the pre work for him like removing dash, seats, carpet, he did iot for $900 and i couldnt be happier with the way it turned out, fitment is 100% if not experienced with welding or bending i honestly would think twice about doing it yourself if you dont have someone to guide you. there alot of specs the cage needs to meet in order to be certified. having to cut the cage out to fix it or even start over would be an absolute nightmare.

What wires are those? I would use OEM or NGK. Why comedic gasket? Again, I would do OEM. Here's a rough mock up of my s366 with 4inch down pipe. Hope it helps.

they are msd yellow wires 10.2mm and because oem doesnt make a 83mm head gaskit thats why. ya im running a ram horn manifold so it seems its gone be even harder to make a down pipe fit. so looks like im going to have to go out the hood

I would get rid of those wires. Might be a headache in the future. OEM only makes 81 and 84mm, but companies like golden eagle will hone them out to what ever size you need.

I actually just gave away the blue one lol.

As far as down pipe it shouldn't be a big deal, just make it out of 3inch.

taking oem wires with in case but right now just trying to get fabing done to get to tuning. after that or why thats happening ill change or replace what we find as the limit right now thats the clutch as it will only hold 400 wftlbs so around 6-650whp then car will get cage and ill order all the safety mods, scatter shield new shoes gloves suite and belts. just about done with most fab work for now. block is still not done being bored to 83mm. with .0045 p2w clearance will post some pics tomorrow.

so what are some good ek mounts. i have ripped the driver side bracket top bolt whole off the inner fender area as well as the trans mount so needing some mounts that dont move so much. edit i ripped the metal of the car not mounts.

I have a set of innovative mounts for the EK chassis. I thought they were too stiff for my street car. They are the 85a hardness. I'd sell them for 150.00 shipped if you want them.
