You'll be fine without it. Did mine in 2009, still no issue almost 6 years later
I'm keeping my oem filter so I will just hang a 45 degree 6 an and the inverted flare adapter off of it to the oem filter with a 6an line and 12mm banjo
Re: WRITE UP: How to convert your fuel lines and ugly filter to Stainless -6AN hoses
Will -6an size be ok for enough fuel delivery for hi comp b16.
OEM fuel line seems to be bigger and with the adapter I guess will make it smaller or not?

I swaitched the filter to rail line to 6an and rechecked my psi and it was the same at the rail 41 psi still
Re: WRITE UP: How to convert your fuel lines and ugly filter to Stainless -6AN hoses
So I picked up a crx with braided lines which I have never messed with in the past. One of the issues is under power there is a corpious amount of fuel pouring out from the front passenger side of the tank.
Do I need to drop the tank to get to that? I dont see any access from the cabin and I've never messed with the lines that far back; nor have i ever had to in the past. Any words of wisdom?
If anything and I have to drop the tank does any major auto part store carry the lines connectors?
Re: WRITE UP: How to convert your fuel lines and ugly filter to Stainless -6AN hoses
so with these lines you only need to put them in a vice and turn? no special tools required? I seriously never messed with this and I am over educating myself due to that I don't want to make smores.

i've been watching videos, i have yet to drop the tank down because I really don't want to know what I am about to see. The wiring in the car was done like a rat had decided to make its home there. I still need to get the car in the garage as its going to be 100 degrees here in vegas soon...or at least feel like it.
Re: WRITE UP: How to convert your fuel lines and ugly filter to Stainless -6AN hoses
So I got finally sometime to drop the tank and I found the issue which seems to be common which is the line itself cracked at the tank. Yyyaaaaayyy.
Here are some pictures at the tank
So the fairs is the red line. It is one solid line so possibly pre-made line about 12'? My question is what should I use to take that off? It's a tight fit.
Should I replace the fitting to the pump as well? How do I tell which fitting that is or better yet is there a better one I can get?
That's a standard 5/16 inch compression fitting used inside an AN adapter. Are our fuel lines compatible with SAE fittings?I thought everything Honda ever produced was metric or JIS?
Re: WRITE UP: How to convert your fuel lines and ugly filter to Stainless -6AN hoses
Yes. The compression fitting works fine and the honda lines are metric. 5/16" is close enough to the 8mm tube diameter that the ferrule still fits just fine.

Sorry to revive such an ancient thread, but I'm hoping I get a quicker response this way. I need to convert the fuel return hose between my Aeromotive FPR and the stock 7mm hard line to 6an. According to the picture below that was posted earlier in this thread, it was recommended to use a 37 degree flare tool with a 4an tube and nut, then a 4an to 6an male adapter. Would a fitting like this that goes directly from 1/4" to 6an work? I know there's a slight difference between 7mm and 1/4", but I'm not sure it would make a difference.
