New Skunk2 Camshaft Markings
After seeing a number of people posting about the markings on our B & H camshafts we thought it would be a good time to create a thread listing the old markings for our camshafts as well as the new markings.
All camshafts manufactured and sold starting March 2011 will have the new markings. These camshafts will have the same stamp on both Intake and Exhaust cams.
Camshafts made/sold prior to March 2011 will be hand etched, those made after will be stamped.

I dont think it has anything to do with helping the confusion. Instead of 3 possible markings for the pro series cams, they're adding a 4th?!
This doesn't help with confusion IMO.
I think it has more to do with keeping track of batches/lots after the manufacturing process and to know when that particular cam was manufactured...
If they wanted to make markings easier to ID and cut down the confusion, why not have stage 1 etched with "S1", stage 2 etched with "S2", Pro 1 etched with "P1", and so on ...

Thank you Skunk2 for making this thread. You don't even know how many people told me I didn't have authentic cams when I made this thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/all-motor-naturally-aspirated-44/identifying-skunk2-pro2s-2912727/

Negative Nancy, aren't we?
Maybe you failed to understand my post. I cannot be everywhere at one time. I can only help what I can see. In this case a user PM'd me requesting me to add this to the [faq]
If you call having a large organized thread with tons of great information ''spoon feeding'' the noobs.. then so be it. It's there for people to read, FWIW i do not believe in spoon feeding the noobs.
I guess you must of missed the memo in the stickies that I endorsed...

I was referring to another thread that CRock77 posted in. I wasnt referring to you Jimmy. I know how you feel about noobs and their lack of searching skills and I agree. Just some light humor was my intention.

Hahah.. Alright man, good deal. I try to be involved around here and help as much as possible.. rather than the old days/old moderators weren't as involved as much.
Well, I told said mod he must've pulled some erroneous information out of his a$$ to which I added that I was surprised he could pull anything out of his a$$ due to him having his rather massive head squarely and deeply rammed up it.
He banned me f0 Lyfe, y0!!
You're doing fine Jimmy! Keep up the good work
C Rock- I could tell you were losing patience with some of these guys posting up the same thing over and over and over. I'm a pretty patient guy, but I know how it is when you lose it for a bit. It's like c'mon guys geeez!!!
Thats some funny **** there man! hahahaha!
OK, back on topic... Thanks Skunk2 for clearing this up and putting this out there. Now if we could only get people to see it before they post up another Skunk cam ID thread...

It didn't show up easily when I searched. Had it been in the FAQ then I'd have seen it. Hope you guys aren't referring to me lol. Good info, now maybe add some pictures of the markings!
