Default How to fix this issue: CEL code 43 Fuel supply

Car threw a CEL code 43 (fuel supply) any idea where to start checking to fix this problem. Code makes sense since i ate up a lot of gas driving from the burbs to the city.

start with o2 sensor and fuel filter since they are the easiest to change.

so would the fuel pump or injectors be the main cause? and what volatge would the injectors and fuel pump would be if its working properly. I'm hoping its just the fuel filter since it will be a cheap quick fix.

-injectors
-ecu

okay think i figured my cel code. one of the vacume hoses wasnt hooked up to the intake manifold. so im going to T-split one of the near by vacume hoses and hope that will fix my problem. it should because if i cover the inlet the engine begins to stall but goes back to normal when i dont cover th inlet. must be a sensor there monitoring the air fuel mixture

A $3 gas cap from walmart cancelled my code out a while ago, sorry for no progress report. I was a little pissed when it got fixed to be perfectly honest because I had wasted so much time, money and effort on things that may not have been the problem. Atleast I can cross them off future lists though.

its not a honda curse, people just love throwing parts at a problem instead of diagnosing it. an 80 dollar service manual would have solved that and could be referenced for the life of the car. pennywise, dollar foolish

That's funny, because no where in the 3 service manuals (haynes manuals for civic and integra, as well as a chilton civic manual) does it mention anything about the fuel cap. Does it seem like something obvious now that the issue has been resolved? Yes? Did I try to find a clear cut answer with local enthusiasts, tuners and friends? Yes. Are you some gotdamned Honda/Acura Master Tech who saw this solution miles before it presented itself? **** no. Get off your ****ing high horse and next time hit the ****ing back button. *********** like you are part of the reason H-T gets a bad rap, full of arrogant snobs who spout knowledge online all day long, but cant tell the difference in a phillips head and flat head screwdriver in real life.

lol you replaced half your whole fuel system over a gas cap, and as you now know your haynes manuals are piles of ****. O2 sensor, fuel filter, injectors and ecu. good job. Maybe buy yourself a new fuel pump just in case while you're at it.

the problem with ht is know it alls like you who go in threads and tell people to just replace **** without testing it. Eh, at least you got some spare parts for the nect time you need to "diagnose" a problem.

^. Like today? So I had a goof, I re - edited and it was cool, we all had a laugh. And granted I've had a few goofs since being here but it's still a learning experience for me. I know enough to be an average mechanic bro; pretty sure I'm not an idiot. When I'm wrong, someone points it out and I apologize or ask why was I wrong, I don't try to refute my wrong answer.

your're replies
Clearly, you're the one who knows just enough to sound stupid.

You like contradicting yourself don't you? Which is it, do I need to consult a service manual or wait for Master Tech's such as yourself **** excellence and have it trickle down on me? For the record, AllData doesn't mention checking or replacing the gas cap either, so now what, should I have just given up? All I did was chase down issues that were suggested and crossed them off the list as I went. None of the people I associate with locally had run into this issue, so we were all pretty much pulling at straws. A shop will only offer so much information before they suggest bringing the car to them to make the same guesses I had already made. So please, get off your high horse and leave this thread be. You have no legitimate response and will probably send some e-thug pm later, but don't bother, I will only delete it.

your replies
HA. You edited. So now you're a hypocrite for knocking me about earlier, right? I said something wrong and edited, you trashed me about it, then you go and do the same thing.

Baha.

Dude you're so wrong it's sad. Try a helm manual for starters. Number 2 you do know there is a way to test injectors, ecu and fuel filters beside just buying new ones. you can't possibly be that stupid can you?

Why would I send you a PM, I'm not trying to e-thug anyone, your an arrogant retard. thats all
