Default if you burn obd0 chips....enter this thread.

im looking for the guy who burns obd0 chips, i used to see him on here a year or 2 ago. i went obd1/crome so i didnt pay any attention. well now, a year or so later, im runnign an obd0 "for now" kind of set up.

im not lookign to shatter world records, im just looking for a higher vtec for highway gas milage and engine longevity and a tad higher rev limit becuase 7600 (stock) doesnt really do the trick for the couple times a week i romp on it. of course, an o2 sensor delete and a knock sensor delete would be great.

i jsut socketed my ecu at work (yes, i am the man) and it came out factory clean when i finished, i jsut have nothin but the stock chip to stick back in it for now.

so, someone who burns chips, help a military boy out

-5200 vtec
-8500 rev limit
-close to stock fuel/timing curve
-no o2
-no knock
-no top speed governor

nothing radical, still want it to idle nicely at 700 rpms

and no, im not going to stick one of those "spoon/mugen" pieces of **** off ebay in there.

thanks in advance for your help, chip men

I make OBD0 chips, I'm the link in CRX Toad's sig. I'll say that wanting to disable the O2 without fully tuning the car is asking for worlds of pain. It won't run right in open loop without being tuned, and it will vary from way rich to way lean, no way to tell for sure. The other stuff is no problem, but you'll probably be worse off just disabling the O2 than you would letting it run the car in closed loop. PM or email me if you'd like.

ok well jdmhatchness brought up a good point. i happen to be around whitfield inc a lot. chris whitfield has a burner, however doesnt mess with obd0 tunes very often. so, if someone could send me a .bin file, i could then foward that to chris via email and he could burn the chip for me.

if someone is willing to do that, pm me please.

thanks again.

I'm interested in an OBD0 chip for a mild A6 build. So let me know if you find something.

http://www.pmgfi.org

go to the forums , register and look up BRE (ben ogles rom emulator)

it works with 0bd0 vtec ecu`s, easy to chip the car, all you need to do is install a 28 pin unit and use that to swap chips in/out, you dont have to add/remove resistors like hondata etc.

if you get an ostrich from http://www.moates.net and a wideband you can use the ostrich and data log via that and the ecu , it also allows for real time ajustment of the load tables .

saves us changing out obd0 pw0 ecus to obd1 ecu+looms etc, plus its constantly in devolopment and new features are appearing every week.

i'm using BRE on a PR3 and a PWO ecu and noticed that maps arent interchangeable between the two ecu's. i have the pr3 base maps and pw0's as well as some tuned maps but i put my PW0 into a stock crx with the non vtec A6 so does anyone have a PM6 Based PW0 fuel map?

Not so fast there, Crome has limited support for OBD0, and until Ben Ogle got the RTP and autotune working well for BRE, Crome was my weapon of choice for my PR3 in my car.

But wait, that's not all! If you have an ostrich emulator and a supported wide band (most popular ones are) you can set up autotune, where you give it AF ratios, and then drive around and watch it tune itself. It doesn't deal with idle very well, but it tuned 90% of my low cam map in the 4 mile drive to the store.
