tial wastegate only boostin 3-4 lbs
i just got my car up and running again problem is boost gauge is only reading 3 to 4 lbs, hondata logger reads as low as 2 sometimes. someone i talked to said that they got low boost with the tial, we put in the valve seats no leaks whats up? will a boost controller be efficient when used w/ my wastegate? the spring is for 7 lbs i believe.. got it from importparts.com.
My TIAL did the same thing, turned out the bolts weren't down all the way. Since TIAL's use the Hex bolts, it was harder to tighten them enough. I used regular bolts and was able to get sufficient torque on them, boost is good now.
What pressure source do you have the side port connected to?
It's the .5 bar tial?
It's the .5 bar tial?
BTW, so far I have my BOV, FMU, and boost guage tapped into the same source(my FPR line). Will that effect this assumption?

You could have a defective boost gauge. I did, my gauge would read in vacuum with the car off, I adjusted my boost controller so that the gauge would read just above 5psi when I was at full boost. The car was really fast, but the vacuum reading always bothered me so I bought another gauge that read 0 with the car off, the first pull I did boost read 8 psi. So my first gauge was off by about 2 1/2 -2 3/4 psi. Luckily I didn't tyr to boost any higher with the original gauge.
