Installing the MaXpeedingRods coilovers on the project civic.
I recently aquired a set of the MaXpeedingRods coilovers for my RHD 93 Civic Hatch. Ive been building this car for the last 2 years. im really close to finishing it. I just need to figure out some wiring issues.
The MaXpeedingRod coilover suspension kit features a twin tube damper which is adjustable to make your ride softer or stiffer. depending on your needs, street, track or road racing. it also features ride height adjustability with locking collars. By adjusting the upper collars, you can preload the springs for track use. The coilover housings themselves have beefy welds. These coilovers are an affordable option for you vehicle!
You can watch The video of the install on my channel.
front spring rate: 8KG/mm (448lbs/in.)
rear spring rate: 5KG/mm (280lbs/in.)
front lowering height: 365-410mm
Rear lowering height 433-480mm
Damper: 24 way adjustable damping
Camber plate: Non-adjustable camber
Contents included in the kit:
2- pcs front coilover shock absorbers
2-pcs rear coilover shock absorbers
2-pcs stainless steel wrenches
Installation: start by jacking up the car front or rear of the car, depending on which end you would like to install first. make sure to use jack stands to secure the car in the lifted position. remove the front or rear wheels.
remove the lower bolts on the forks and slide the fork off the stock shock.
Make sure to remove the bolt attaching the brake line to the shock housing. Remove the top nuts on the shock tower and remove the stock strut assembly.
Adjust the ride height by turning the lower portion of the MaXpeedingRods strut to your desired ride height and use the supplied wrenches to lock the lower portion in place.
depending on your make and model of vehicle, the supplied spacers the are inserted into the lower fork may have to be used to secure the MaXpeedingRods coilover onto the fork.
install the front coilover top nuts and lower bolts in reverse as the stock strut was removed.
To remove the rear strut, remove the lower bolt holding the strut onto the lower control arm. (keep in mind that you may need a nut to install the MaXpeedingRods rear coilover)
remove the nuts securing the strut on the rear shock tower. then remove the strut and install the MaXpeedingRods coilover by reversing the order of removal of the stock strut.
after the bolts are installed and tightened to factory specs, replace the wheels and lower the car slowly. make sure everything is clear and nothing is obstructing the suspension travel.
adjust the top knurled **** to your specific settings. by turning the **** all the way to the right. then turn the **** counter clockwise. count the amount of clicks until the **** no longer turns. divide that number in two and turn the **** clockwise to that amount of clicks. that will put the coilovers damper in its middle setting. you make the damper softer or stiffer by turning the ****.

Well done vid, nice looking hatch. The coilovers don't look bad, but time will tell.
I have a sour taste about vid sponsorship after a company ripped off my vid and didn't send the $. Sending product is the way. Maybe try to get them to send 2 sets. One to keep and one to give away. That will surely drive traffic, win, win.
