Anyone know the difference in performance gain when compared to an AEM CAI?
AEM CAI vs. Comptech Icebox or something?

If BSQ's icetake gives same performance gain (which I think will be minor as in with all intakes) like the comptech I'm in.

Here is a dyno chart comparing the AEM, Injen and Comptech Icebox. The Icetake CAI should have nearly identical results to the Comptech since the pipe diameter is the same length and the same diameter.

I think $30 shipped is a fair price. I would be willing to pay that if I owned a Teg. Good idea man, keep them coming!

Well I counted 5 raised hands. So it looks like the price will be $30 shipped US Postal Service Priority Mail (2-3 day delivery) for US residence and $34 (US) shipped US Postal Service Airmail (4-7 day delivery) for Canadian residence. I will change my webpage ( http://www.geocities.com/bretq/icetake_cai.html ) to reflect these prices.

BTW, the first shipment will be on Monday 3/11.

Email me at BretQ@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

All you would need is the Integra airbox for '94 Civic EX Hybrid.

Will it come with instructions? Just in case so I don't break anything or hurt myself doing it.

Ace and home depot are ok, but if you want true performance materials you have to give it up to LOWES!!!

What would I need to do to retro-fit this to my GS-R? I currently am using the older style (2-piece) AEM CAI.

I will be updating my instructions on my website ( http://www.geocities.com/bretq/DIY_Icebox_CAI.html ) with more detailed information and photos. Therefore, you will be able to print a copy of the instructions directly from my website.

The installation will be fairly easy. Here is a brief description of what is involved:

1.) Jack up front of the car and support with jack stands.
2.) Remove fender lining on passenger side (the front tire may be removed).
3.) Remove intake resonator which is held in by 3-4 bolts.
4.) Remove lid from airbox.
5.) Compress the top of the intake tubing to conform to the oval opening in the bottom of the airbox.
6.) Insert intake tubing into oval opening in the airbox.
7.) Remove bolt front passenger side tow hook and install mounting bracket
8.) Attach worm gear strap around intake tube and mounting bracket and tighten the strap.
9.) Reinstall lid to airbox.
10.) Reintall fender lining and tire if removed.
11.) Remove jack stands and lower car.

All you will need is the stock airbox and black rubber intake tube.

Good thing you asked, because I was wondering myself what airbox the Del Sol uses. Do you know if it is similiar to the airbox in the '94-'01 Integras?

For those people that are interested in purchasing the Icetake CAI, you can pay for it now and I will be shipping them on Monday (3/11). After Monday there will not be any lag time when you order the Icetake CAI.

You can pay for the intake on my webpage ( http://www.geocities.com/bretq/icetake_cai.html ) with PayPal or if you prefer money order/cashiers check, send me an email and I will give you the address to mail it to.

I found this diagram of the Del Sol VTEC airbox. It appears that there is an oval opening in the bottom of the airbox along with an oval rubber gasket. The hole in the gasket is round, but you should be able to enlarge it to accept the Icetake CAI piping. Hope this helps you out. Let me know if you have any other questions.
