95 Prelude VTEC for sale. Albany, NY
Before reading any further, let me just say a couple of things:
1) The car is totalled, although the damage is completely fixable.
2) It has a salvage title.
3) It drives absolutely fine, and I've been driving it (in it's current condition) since August of '05.
The car was rear-ended last August while I was stopped. I was pushed forward (although very minimally) into the car in front of me. I bought it back from the insurance company, after getting money for it. It was a toss-up of fixing the car, or buying another Prelude and keeping the 95 to drive to school and use as a winter car. I opted for the latter, using the money to buy my 99 SH.
The car has 115k miles on it right now. I bought it with about 90k on it. I've had all maintenance done on time, mostly by Keeler Honda in Latham, NY. We've been doing business with them since 1990, and am very confident in the job that they perform.
The original H22A in the car is running strong. It has a Gude Performance Head Package, which consists of valves, springs, retainers, and cams. It has an AEM short ram intake, a set of generic Megan racing headers, a Magnaflow exhaust with 2.25 inch piping from the headers back. It also has the AEM Tru-Power pulley system, and a Koyo radiator. The suspension is the stock setup, as I took the Tein SS coilovers out of the car and installed it into my 99 SH. The car has the original LEATHER interior. It is in pretty good shape, although it needs to be re-dyed. There are no holes or cuts in any seat. The clutch is starting to slip, but I'm including an Exedy clutch with the car.
There are only two things that are mechanically wrong with it: the sunroof is slightly off of it's tracks. Also, there is a strange noise coming form the driver's side rear brake. It's either the rotor or the caliper, I'm not sure.
THE DAMAGE: the car will need to have many panels replaced, including the passenger rear quarter, both bumpers, the hood, and the driver's door. Also, the trunk floor will need to be bumped back into position. To have the car repaired, front to back, with a complete respray, would run you about $6000 using new parts. That is an estimate that a couple of different shops gave me.
Although I don't have any pictures of it right now, I will get some up as soon as I can. Maybe tomorrow...we'll see.
Basically, this car will appeal to one of two people: someone who wants an H22A and leather interior from my car for parts, or somebody who can repair the car (because it really does drive fine).
I'm located in upstate NY, right outside Albany. My AIM handle is RudeLudeSH99 if you wanna talk about this some more.
Thanks for looking,
Dan

Re: (RudeLude95)
OK I took some pictures here. Make offers if you think that price is unfair, and I'll consider them.
The leather just needs to be re-dyed. There are no actual holes in it.
Here is a picture of the car in it's glory days:

Added new pictures on the ebay listing. Check it out.
If you're looking for a good, solid H22, full leather interior, and an EL dashboard, this is what you want.
