I really don't know. The Escorts and Cortinas I've seen may have come from Canada. I do know I've seen alot more Cortinas than Escorts.
Scott, who'd still kinda like to have a sleeper Triumph Herald...you know, usual thing: tube frame, 250hp...but with painted dash and chrome instrument bezels...

TypeR47--I must say that your old 2002 is off the friggin' hook!!! A real beauty. 
Willard--did you happen to drive that Volvo at the SCDA Limerock HPDE this past 6/28??? I saw a Volvo on a trailer there that looked an awful lot like the one in your picture.
As for my answer, I have a soft spot in my heart for any 240Z road race cars. BRE's, any of them. They looked killer with fender flares, panasports and a chin spoiler. Overall, just a wonderful sports/GT car

The only Cortina that I know was imported to the US was the pushrod 1.6 MkIII - I think. The "good ones" were not. By the time the Escort nameplate got here, the cars were crrrap, of course - although they arguably improved since their introduction.

I understand what you're talking about, having raced a 1971 Datsun 1200. But I think for the money, I'd have to say what I got a ride in yesterday was hard to beat - an old Pantera. No fuel injection, no electric seats, just a big 351 in your right ear. It made all the right sounds and reminded me of the simpler days.

a bmw e30 m3 grouppe A or dtm car is what i would wish to have 325+ na hp outta a 4 banger rwd built for the track 1st then made into a street car is what does it for me
