John,
With all that money you're making off your SWC photobook, you can't afford to punt a little to your crew chief?????

I have one of the biggest pry bars known to man, hell it gets the job done. It will even diagnose most problems
-Casey whos favorite tool is his fluke 88 multi meter and some back probes, but who's also wondering how he's gonna do as his own H1 crew chief.

Much will depend on how much restraint your design engineer was able to muster.
Scott, who once had a giant meeting with the whole crew but it devolved into a giant shouting match...

After I take my foot out of my mouth, I'm going to ask if you've ever stolen any of his clients when they called you by mistake.
Maybe you should give him a ShiftGear shirt.....

well the "other" guy wins the google test. his website shows first when searching "john thawley".
ha, cant believe i get to use this movie quote!
me: why dont you just go by "E. Thawley" (whatever E stands for) instead of "John Thawley"?
john: No way. Why should I change? He's the one who sucks.

Your wheels are too close to to the corners, as if you were almost ready to put them back on and drive. You should stack them on the side of the garage and quit kidding yourself.

Very Interesting.
There are clearly distinctly different and yet undeniably valid philosophies that could apply.
I myself feel that having the car fully operational while elevated on jackstands is the ultimate pure expression of the discipline of Pro Jackstand Racing - but that's just me.
Scott, who checked and the majority of me are in agreement on most but not all of the above if any...

3) cryo/rem said ring/pinion
4) order custom ARP bolts pre-drilled for safety wire
5) send diff off to get rebuilt (by lord knows who)
6) transmission is removed/rebuilt (which might also get the cryo/REM treatment)

Re: WANTED: Crew Chief/Race Engineer (94accordsedan)
the part about owning your own setup scales is very discerning. That is a very expensive attribute to freely let someone use in trade for me working for free.
