Default vtec solenoid seal question...

Hello all,

I wanted to change the leaky seal of my vtec solenoid. My head is from a JDM first generation SiR. My mechanic said that he didn't know where to get that seal, so he put me a newer vtec solenoid (I don't know from what, but a USDM one) with a USDM seal and it still leaks... a lot.

Am I better going back to my old JDM solenoid and, if so, what part number do I need to get from the dealer for the seal? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm fairly sure all B series use the same vtec solenoid, so you could get a seal for a 99-00 civic Si. I know the D, H and F use different shaped seals.

1st gen b16a's use the same vtec solenoid as the early NSX. The seals are different from the newer solenoids.

Large gasket-> 15825-PR3-005 FILTER ASSY., SPOOL VALVE
Small gasket-> 36172-PR3-005 FILTER ASSY., SOLENOID
