Spring Rates
hey everyone. i'm looking for new springs for my accord. right now i have eibach prokits and tokico HP shocks with a ST rear sway bar. this suspension was orignally just for street applications. now that i gave autox a try i really want the best of both worlds. now i know i wont be winning anything or be competitive.
right now im thinking of getting h&r sports/neuspeed sports. do u guys think i could possibly go with some race springs by h&r or neuspeed??? i know the best budget setup would be GC + Koni yellows but i want to keep my cheap tokicio HP's.
btw does anyone know the spring rates for eibach prokit, h&r sports, h&r race, neuspeed sports, neuspeed race??? i tried searching but i only get civic/integra rates which i dont think are the same for accords. thanks!!!

Upping the srping rate on soft hocks will not make your car handle better.. in fact it will often make it worse. You should get stiffer shocks (if yours are not that siff now?) before you think about the springs. And a good set of shocks and springs is going to be around $800.

No but if you want GC sleeves instead of fixed-height fixed-rate 'street' springs then that will run you about $300. And yes, stiff springs on soft shocks will not help you one bit.
Here - http://www.autocross.com/evolution/ - that will help you more than any $$$ you can put into the car.

yeah u guys are right, i keep forgetting its not all about the spring rates, u also need a good shock
guess i'll probably be looking around for a used set of springs and shocks. sorry im a cheap autox'er. if i can find some koni yellows with GC for cheap, if not maybe kyb agx and h&r race springs/neuspeed race
i'll probably be looking for some cheap 15" steelies with azenis used too then.
btw. i dont have time to go to driving school. i go to college yr round.
for me its more of a learn as u go, eventually when i have some free time i will try to go to driving school.

If you have time to autocross... you have time to attend one-day phase I of an evolution or regional novice school.

Yes its one day. And they travel all over the country - expect to spend $200-$225 for each day (what you'd spend on springs), most regions will give you a break on pricing if you do two days (such as Phase I sat, Phase II sun).
