roll bar/cage regulations?
i dont know if this is the right place to ask this question but i dont know where else would be better. so.
is there a limit on how many points a roll bar/cage has to have?
what material does it need to be made from and what sizes?
do roll bars/cages have certin regulations according to racing genre?
and last but not lease, what welding process is required or can be used to put it together?
thanks,
lam

There's an unlimited number of designs that are not acceptable, so that's the wrong question. You need to follow .RJ's advice and pick up the rule book for the organization you're racing with. Any other advice could lead you in the wrong direction since the cage regulations vary (sometimes greatly) from group to group.

Re: (travis)
Everything you need to know to build a NASA compliant roll cage or bar is in here:
http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/ccr.pdf
For other sanctioning bodies you will need to find or buy their documents. The order form for the SCCA regs ("GCR") is online at SCCA.org, and they cost $25.
