Recommendation for helmet
Hi, can anyone recommend me a decent helmet for a decent price. Im looking for something around 200. I usually go track day twice a year (used motorcycle helmet before) and i also go k1 (requires helmet also). i would appreciated if i can get a few recommendation. thanks
Snell 2005M are fairly inexpensive now that 2010's are out. 2005's are getting hard to find. Typhoon is probably cheapest, then HJC. Try some on and see how they feel. Brands fit differently. A poorly fitted helmet is poor protection. You can get a lot of "how much is your head worth" advice about less expensive helmets, though they will have the same snell rating.

Don't do that. I know it seems like a scam, but the Snell ratings are worth being as up to date as possible. The material inside is not UV or air stable often. Ask anybody who still owns an older helmet, whatever the interior is made of doesn't feel the same, wearing it or not.
I'd say go for an HJC helmet. Great quality for incredible price. I know again it sounds like a silly saying, but you are paying however much you think your head is worth. I've been in bad enough crashes to value my bucket! Don't know what kind of car you have, but if you have harnesses and no airbag, buy a HANS. Lookup what a basilar skull fracture is like and you'll understand why that technology is completely worth the price. If you have harnesses AND an airbag, get rid of the airbag-- it is now just a 200mph boxing glove. If you have regular seat belts and no airbag, you're okay, but not as safe as possible.
If you own a bike helmet, you likely own a bike and you probably understand the risk of anything with an engine. Just keep in mind that cars can be quite safe, it only takes money.

I have an HJC AR10-II, overall good priced but what I found odd is it doesn't say the SNELL rating year on it anywhere that I can find. It just says SNELL. It is the 2010 model or at least thats what I paid for.
i have an s2000 stock, i open up to once or twice a year for track days usually. i know safety is first but at the same time, i just need something affordable without chopping an arm or a leg.

Can't beat the price. For a couple HPDE's a year, this is perfect. I would recommend a foam helmet neck brace too. Something like this:
