Default Hans Device or??

I see there are a few neck restraints out there now besides the high dollar
Han's Device.

Simpson has one
http://www.simpsonracing.com/S...t=525

And there is another called a Hutchens Device
http://www.hutchensdevice.com/

http://www.hansdevice.com/

Besides cost has can anyone give me some insight into these unit's. I kinda
worry about the 95 degree day in July when I'm rushing to get into the car, are
these pretty fast to hook up?

I don't know about the others, but the hans is a very nice piece. It's very easy to put on, only takes a few extra seconds, and may save your life someday!

But for Ballerz like Bergenholtz, 1300 is a drop in the bucket.

Thats the beauty of the other units, the price. I was at a Motorsport show yesterday were you could buy the Hutchins for $299 and the Simpson for $349.

From what I understand Hutchins is coming out with one that is more like the
Hans for somewere in the $600 range.

This is all still pretty pricy for the average racer, just wonder if I really need one
for a car that "only" goes 140 mph or so??

Geeeez guys.....The HANS is only 1300 bucks if you need the CarbonFiber Cart/Nascar one. You can buy the Composite kevlar one for 690 bucks. Or at least thats what it was at PRI when I bought one....It weighed maybe a pound heavier than the Carbon Fiber one. They look the same but we wear ours for what 2-3minutes the Lightweight one is for guys wearing it for hours!

Hi Steve, were getting the one from Safety Solutions. While it is something like the Hans, its is also different and in my opinion a little better.

It reaches down a little longer so not only does it provide support for your neck but your middle back as well.

We will also probably pick up the brand and offer it to NOPI racers at a very discounted price.

I will let you know a.s.a.p.
