Quick Spring Rate Setup Question!
I have a 00 Civic SI... I wanted to know if 448lbs in the front and 559lbs in the rear is too much oversteer for road racing and alittle auto-x??? Cuz I just ordered a set of Zeals and those are street spring rates but the 559lbs is in front and 448lbs in rear!
Thanks for any info!

I run 450/550 right now. Haven't died yet.
It's not a handfull on the street (except in snow), and you'll like the looseness on the track. Easy to rotate; not too hard to catch.

Naw, I run 550 f and 750 r on my 2000 Si and the car handles like a dream on course. I still have the stock bars though....
I thought it would be unstable if I dropped the throttle but it's actually quite easy to keep the rear end in line.

Yep. Doctor Cortez has your 600s. It probably didn't make much difference.
I also have a 22mm Progress. Car was 300x better than when I had a more tame setup. You'll like it.

Interesting. I never did get a bigger rear bar on it.

I run 780/900 with 26 mm rear bar.
The car is only loose if you have too much entry speed - otherwise it carves like a knife.
Your rates should be fine - just be really careful in the wet

Yeah, it's even better now!
I should be at the practice on sunday. Are you going to be there? If so I'll let you ride along and see how you like the changes.....

nope, unfortunately, due to bad grades, I am not allowed to auto-x ever again (at least during college). Although that will not stop me from secretly attending TAMSCC Auto-Xs during the semester when my parents are far, far away
Have fun at the practice!
