I'm confused. I'm guessing you mean the Sept 8-10th race at Phoenix Int'l Raceway. NASA is not running that weekend. Did you mean why are they not competing in Grand-Am Cup?

yep...why aren't there any well built H1 Type Rs or a well built RSX? The last Grand Am Cup turned Honda Challenge car is Bloomberg's Type R that Endicott used to run. They stuffed him in H2 though because he had remote reservoirs.
Where are you Paul?

Taking a GAC car to HC is easy. Taking pretty much any of the existing HC cars in the US to GAC is impossible. A GAC RSX would be a lousy H1 car, I think. The rules just don't cross over very well, unless I'm not understanding the question.

aaa that doesn't make much sense. If he had remote resiviors and it was an H2 car, then under the Old rules (not this years) he would have to run H1. This year if he had remote resiviors and it was an H2 car he would be put in HU.

Yeah, I think that was the scenario with Paul a year ago, but this year he has run H1 full time (and now USTCC). I don't think he ever went back to the motons as I don't even think they're legal for H1.

Re: question: why aren't there any Honda Challenge cars running at PIR for the Grand Am race on Sept
Hi John,
Humm...I missed this one...........
Let's see my H2 car w/me driving as it came from KMS/Nonnamakers ran a best of 1:11:3 Toyo's at my home track {(PIR) in 2002 GAC legal form}-racing in the consistantly in the 12's ...
I ran the car with the H1 Moton bump at 174/2620lbs in H1...since then I've gained about 20WHP and lost a couple of hundred lbs B18's rule H1
At San Jose recently I ran USTCC still over weight-- had a marketing partner ------since there wasn't any TV as suggested and as announced at the drivers meeting "we inked a deal with speed just a while ago" and for less money I could have raced a "Pro Race" on "Speed" and provided someone who put forth $$$'s a reasonable finish on my home track.
Maybe the thing is to buy a ride for the Grand-Am at Phoenix for grins-----If you have something going next year let me know.......
