Push to Talk button?
I bought a SPARCO wheel from http://www.ltbmotorsports.com << shameless plug
>> and was wondering if I could hook up of the buttons on the wheel as a "push to talk" radio button. FYI, the button simply has 2 wires going to it.

Yes, this is easy. We did this before.

I use cheap radio shack UHF business band. They used to sell a 5 watts one. But it is no longer available. It was cheap too. I bought mine for under $100 per radio.
I don't use a horn button anymore. Instead, I bought a small temporary switch from Radio Shack, use an old Keyboard coil cord with 6 conductor and wired up the temporary switch and my MyChron display all together.

I thought about this a little. If its 3 wires, chances are two are connected when the button is just sitting there, probably closing a circuit, and when the button is depressed, one wire connects to the 3rd wire closing a different circuit. This can be simulated with a relay and the 2 wire steering wheel button. solenoid, common EDO!
you can test my theory with a multimeter at your radio push to talk connector. FYI I use Sampson radios (if I remember the name correctly) I think its all the same sht tho.

If that is it, that's easy enough!

YES-that is what I did. Took the leads and connected them to the PTT coily cord. Works great. Just remember to keep your fingers away from the buttons
