optimal rim size?
I'm wondering what is the optimal rim size for autocrossing? I heard although a smaller rim gives you straight line speed, a larger rim gives you better response and handling. And could you suggest any brands that make quality, light weight rims at an affordable price?

you need to give us more information. What is the car being used for, what kind of tires/wheels are you looking for (street, autox, track), etc...

Re: optimal rim size? (-RJ)
Define 'affordable'. My OZ Superleggeras are fairly light weight (around 11lbs in 15x7) and were $200 each. Kosei K1s are about 13lbs (again, in 15x7) and I think about $130 each. Rota also makes some fairly light (11-12lb range) wheels in the same price range.

Hmm Kosei k1 racing sounds very tempting. My price range is $500-600 for a set. Do you guys know any online sites to purchase them?

Re: optimal rim size? (NHB Fighter)
sorry, didnt see the autocross part.
If they are a dedicated race tire (i.e. not driven on the street) then go with a set of super light 13x9 wheels and 235/??/13 Kuhmo Ecsta V700's.
If you also drive on the street, then 15x7 kosei's with a 205/50/15 sticky street tire (falken, S0-3's, BFG KD's, etc).

What size rotors do you have? I'm pretty sure the DSP Integra guys here are running 13" wheels on stock GS-R rotors, but any larger and you'll probably have clearance problems.
