Default Old white guy in a real Type R? (Civic)

Because of new North American opportunities for FIA homologated rally cars, I am revisiting the option of B16 powered Civics. The short question is, understanding that I could buy a '98 or new EK9 Civic R, how could I come up with the mechanical equivalent of a '96+ EK4 Civic HB (B16A2 w/S4C trans)? The real thing is known as an SiR or Vti in other parts of the world, if I am keeping all of those dang letters straight...

I have NOT confirmed yet if the left-drive shell is even legal but would be interested in the advice of the braintrust. Thanks in advance!

Kirk

So you're trying to import something for race-only use?

As far as getting it street legal, that's up to the EPA.

The problem with rally cars is that they have to be street licensed for the transit stages on public roads.

I really thought you all would have such good info but your gonna make me count on the hybrid street guys, huh? Tsk, tsk.
