Offset tire setup
Last weekend I ended up autocrossing with 235/45/13 in front and 215/50/13 in back. This wasn't a scientific test because the front tires were brand new and the rears are just about done but I can say one thing... OVERSTEER CITY.
On the first lap I looped the car on cold tires and fought to keep traction everywhere else, however once the tires got a little heat then the car was much more controllable. I wish I had 2 more 235s to test to see which setup is faster.
Is this what I'm going to run at nationals? perhaps.

my friend Shane and I tried a similar setup this weekend, we each had a couple tires that needed some abuse. I had some 225/40-16 and he had 205/50-16 all four were kuhmo ecsta supras. The car was very consistant between runs, using a little more air in the rear tires the car gripped and rotated nicely. I liked the way the car drove, and would very much like to try a similar setup with some sticky tires.
