That's a great exchange between Ron and Michael. Ron was a true great of the sport, but being an ******* only gets you so far...and that's clearly what was his undoing at the end.

I recon the F2005 would be a lot hier if the use the same tyre for the entire race rule had been binned. What a dumb ******* idea that was.
And the Jordan 191 still the best looking of the bunch.

Agreed. In Brawn's podcast he explained the the '05 car was designed with small fuel tanks and for high deg tires like years past, and that by the time the 1 tire rule was implemented it was too late to change. Juan juanders what it would have been like with that silly rule gone.

What bugs me is the non-essential employees end up with a free paid vacation (if what has happened in the past happens again). I report to work and get my paycheck. They also get their paycheck despite not having had to work. In fact one could argue with a longer shutdown they could go get a part time job somewhere so they at least have some money. With me having to work rotating shifts, full time I don't really have the option of going and finding a part time job. That's not a complaint, just an observation. A non-essential employee situation is just as stressful in a shutdown as mine I understand this mess isn't the fault of the non-essential employee, but they should be given the option to use leave or take leave without pay. Not get paid and keep their leave.
That's just my opinion and there may be a view point I can't see because of the situation I'm in, so I'm certainly not claiming my opinion is the be all, end all. I'm just glad I've been smart enough to save money in the event there is an extended shutdown.

good to hear, i see a lot of sad stories in the news from people that are out of cash already
i don't even raise an eyebrow at the fuckery of the non-essentials getting paid for being off. i'm sure the payroll system is a heaving, creaking, 1970's punch card mainframe disaster and reprogramming it and letting it inevitably crash and **** payroll for all 800k workers would cost more than just paying the non-essentials while they pick up a baristo job at the local starsucks

Anyone get the MS birthday app? It’s supposed to be a digital museum of Schumacher’s career. Curious if it’s worth deleting some apps on my phone to make room for it.
