Re: The Official Formula 1 2019 Season Thread
In other news, I paid Helio Castroneves for a Cameo. Was a tough call between him and the GOAT JPM, but Helio's videos have a lot more enthusiasm so it was worth the extra $10. So if you ever wonder what the drivers do in-between stints at Sebring? Some of them send video messages to their customers.

Gas or electric? Gas is infinitely moar fun, but tuning can be a bitch until you learn the subtleties of it. Having been involved in both for many years I vote gas!
You have 3D printer?

I had a 4wd gas rally car that was a ton of fun. I ended up shearing the gear off the bellhousing haha
Some of the 540 motors (I always seemed to prefer those from Team Trinity) have some serious kick. Is the chassis wide enough for a flat pack or do you have to build your own layout? I remember some of the real serious racing on-road chassis you had to build the packs which gave you more control over weight distribution.

i haven't figured out batteries but there are off the shelf solutions. honestly I think a wholly 3DPrinted car is a bad idea especially for anything serious. a mix of the right materials would be way easier (carbon fiber is cheap to draw up and cut out of sheets now and drop ship from overseas). this is just going to be for the kid to smash up in the driveway and it should look hella cool. there's '15 - '19 spec wings/bargeboards you can print and customize. the guy who designed it is still updating and refining the wings for '19

Socialist designed, 3D printed F1 car. You should get some crowd sourced funding. Be HT version of RPF1, you'd even have your kid driving!

k so I'm a latecomer into this one. Gotta admit that watching the F1 docuseries on Netflix makes me want to watch some F1 racing now. But I don't get ESPN channels at home.

Is F1 on ESPN now?
https://www.reddit.com/r/motorsportsstreams/ has the live feed. Not sure the best place to find replays though other than torrents.

Word. Netflix/Amazon prime TV are the ones I currently have. HBO for GoT soon, but then cancel after. I dropped cable once my kids began controlling the TV, and I don't watch enough to warrant another subscription. I still haven't had a chance to finish watching the onboard footage from my last race.

I have netflix and my sibling has Hulu, we use each others accounts so we're each paying for one. By the time you've got all these accounts at once you're spending as much as you were on cable.
