Non-FIA Racetech RT1000?
Does anyone know if there is a non-FIA Racetech RT1000? I thought they were FIA seats but this site specifically says that this version they have is not.
http://www.on-trackperformance.com/R...et%20seats.htm
The cheapest I've been able to find this seat for is in the $715 price range. The price seems really low there. Scam site maybe? Has anyone found them cheaper than $715?

Re: Non-FIA Racetech RT1000?
Little fishy, as I found both of these advertising them as FIA-cert:
http://www.apexperformance.net/cartgenie/prod-882.htm
http://www.ioportracing.com/Merchant...egory_Code=RTS
OG Racing also advertises them as FIA-cert. Additionally, RaceTech's own site shows them also as FIA-cert:
http://www.racetechseatsna.com/produ...p&model=rt1000
You're right about the price though, ALL the other places are selling it for $715. I'd call the company and ask them what's up, as I didn't see even an option for a cheaper non-FIA anywhere else. Could be that they're selling older, expired-tag seats. You could also contact Racetech and see if they ever sold that seat as non-FIA, as sometimes a manufacturer will release the seat before FIA approval has been completed (we saw this potentially going down with STATUS seats awhile back; difference is I don't think they got the approval). If they don't have a sticker at all I'd be very skeptical.
Racetech is also a big enough company and selling the right kind of quality, desirable part that they most likely will not have big fluctuations in price like that. Another red flag. Comparing their other Racetech seats, they are ALL priced lower than any of the other shops selling them.

You are looking at an extremely outdated WEB page! Go to their home page an click on seats, that page will not even come up.

Curse you Google.af (afghanistan)! The guy at the haji shop told me he just got The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Season 2 in. "Just came out" he said. I thought it was just his english. I didn't know he was being serious.
That's strange though, I googled Racetech rt1000 and and go that on link on the first page. Still doesn't explain the non-FIA issue. Good looking out.

I know but when I searched the seat on this site, they were going for 649.00 a couple years ago. Actually 584.00 shipped here on H-T.

I guess prices have just gone up that much in the last couple of years. $715 seems like a fair price to me. I got a chance to sit in one earlier this year and loved the ergonomics of the seat.

RaceTech DID make a non FIA seat at one point. User VB spec on here has a non-FIA Head restraint RaceTech seat. We concluded that they did make them non-FIA for a brief period.
I have a 9000 series (I believe) HR RaceTech seat, and it IS FIA cert'd
Mike's (VBspec) seat looks exactly the same as mine, and it has no FIA sticker on it.
Best way to solve this dilemma is to call RT and ask them.
(Note: I am not condoning this ad for the seat, just stating facts.)
