NJ Emissions Help Needed
* Setup: 99-00 B16A2 converted to OBD-I with a chipped P28.
* Chip used: Modified OEM DOHC-VTEC P30 program from http://www.phearable.net (asked him to simply add a little more fuel throughout the rev range to keep car slightly rich while autocrossing, nothing radical)
* Problem: Fails NJ Emissions for CO >> passes for HC and NOx
* New Bosch O2 sensor installed 2 weeks ago, all other emission devices still in place
My question... Would I be able to run the car (temporarily) with the chip removed so the car reverts to the OEM P28 SOHC VTEC program?
All OEM parameters should be in place, so in theory, it should pass, yes? I know it may throw a cel, but I really want to avoid having to buy a "stock" program if I can do this for free, I mean it only has to work for 10 minutes every two years (length of emission stickers here in NJ)

Cut J1 on the ecu to revert back to stock program. Just taking the chip out won't work. When you are done inspection, solder the jumper back together.
Stock p28 program may be too lean, I am not sure.

Re: NJ Emissions Help Needed (743power)
Interesting. I may just order the OEM P30 program on a chip though because a lean condition makes the NOx levels jump up. One problem begets another. I also don't want to solder the thing... R/C cars are one thing.
