Also, "super low position system" equals "thin seat cushion." They are tough looking, otherwise. If I were making Alien 6 (or whatever we're up to now), I'd work out a product placement deal...
...but that embroidery would HAVE to go.

they are deffinately not a Race Seat but for a week end car or autoX car they look good and Im sure will hold you a little better then a stock seat
so they are ok if cruising the streets and an weekend of autoX is what you want to do with your car
Plus if you are driving this daily your girl wont complain that she cant recline her seat
<---just trying to look on the bright side and not bash the product b/c they dont fit my needs

The retail is $1725.00 per seat. As far as it being ricer, they could've left the Low Max, IMO gay stiching out. Besides that I love the idea of a reclinable bucket seat, also it looks as if it can fit a 6'5"/280 pounder. I can't say I like these seats, ive never sat in em once i get the chance to, or anyone else does/has maybe we can get some imput on comfort, etc.

I have sat in these Sparcos and I thought they were very comfortable (and you could buy 3 for the price of one of the above). They are several times more confortable than my Ultras but as far as safety goes, reclinable seats were not going to fit with my needs.

Knowing LTB, if you order them, they'd probably get to you before you hung up the phone ... I kinda think he's got some weird deal going w/ the postal service
Best of luck.

I've been impressed with all the sparco stuff I've used - their seats are fantastic and I've sat in a few of the reclineable seats and I think they'd make very nice street seats if you didnt mind paying for them.
$1700+ seat is just absurd.

i see ALOT of people throw around this, and it blows my mind when there are a ton of FIA cars that run there seats, including several JGTC cars.
now the thing that always gets me is this, spoon, bride, and others all race in FIA sactioned racing, but NONE of the seats come with cetification.
the spoon fit, DC2, DCR, and accord all have the spoon seat ALL of them raced in FIA groupN races yet NOT ONE OF ther seat has an FIA cetification.
When these seats are sold in japan do they come with the certification?

Bride makes good stuff, but I completely agree with you. The stiching makes the seat look incredibly cheap. Love the reclinable bucket seat idea though.

Their newest buckets (the "III" models, ie Zeta III, Artis III, etc) are FIA homologated worldwide. The older models... I guess they ran seatback braces.
These seats are much less expensive at home, makes it worth it, especially since there's a generally lower opinion of metal seats in most of the world.
Considering the thin composite construction, I wonder if this new seat is legal for STS? Or do reclining seats need not conform to minimum weight? I could see this coming in under 20lb.
The super low stuff refers to the bracket/slider design. It's an ongoing issue with some cars, especially the sort of '90s Japanese sporty cars that people buy these seats for. Bride's old solution was to offset the position of the sliders to clear floorpan irregularities, etc; the new design seems to take an approach similar to 240SX/Skyline stock seats and put the cushion between the sliders. Better design IMO than the traditional "sandwich" design (seat on top of adapter on top of slider on top of bracket), more OEM-like. Unless you own a street-driven 240SX, Skyline, or FD RX-7 this new stuff is pretty meaningless. For those cars it's a godsend.
