Need a new suspension
I have searched, but I'm still lacking some information. I'm putting togeather a ITA 91 Civic. It's running TT's right now, and I've realized how inadiquate my auto-x/street suspension is. I want ground controls, but I don't know what length or rate spring to use. I want to keep the stock sways, or even remove the front completly. It's a trailerd non-street car now, and I'm looking for race rates.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Need a new suspension (ewaugh)
For a full race setup I believe the CRX's are around 450 lbs/in front and 600 lbs/in rear. I believe this is with no front bar and a big rear bar. This might be a good place to start if you don't get any better info.

For road racing, 450F/600R with an anti-roll bar such as ST or Progress is a good starting spot. Some racers are using up to 550F/800R with same bar combination with good results. You need to set the toe, camber and static ride height properly to get best combination of low speed rotation and high speed stability with or without aerodynamic wings and splitter/airdams. Of course, your setup will need to take into account your personal preferences and each individual track's layout (and it's conditions).

Re: Need a new suspension (Johnny Mac)
I run about a 1/16" total out front and zero rear, 2.5-3 degrees front negative and I think the rear is around 1.5-2 degrees normally I'm not sure where I should be on the ride height. 1.5" lower than stock sound like a good starting point? I also don't know what length spring I should start out with either. I don't have any extra aero gear yet but I'd like to throw a spliter on it also.

I measure the ride height based the fender lip height to ground because it is easy and repeatable. In the front, you might want the ride height to be around 22-1/2" to 22-5/8" and 22-3/4" in the rear or so.
