Default Need Advice

Hello, I was trying to decide on what tires I should run on my DD Crx. This car might see some days of Auto X and I'll probably launch it pretty hard here and there on the straights. I know you can't have everything but I'd like somewhat of a dual purpose tire if possible.

I was thinking of running some Toyo Proxes R1Rs, Toyo Proxes R888 or Hankook Ventus S3. All would be size 225/45/R15 or 225/50/R15. Would anyone know if these would clear without needing to roll the rear because I won't be able to, my car is bondoed decently on my rear quarters. Of course if you have other ideas on good dual purpose tires I'd appreciate it, thanks guys.

I'm definitely going to have too much power on tap with my setup which is why I wanted 225s so I'll have to practice some pedal control to keep traction that's for sure.

225s can have fender clearance issues on CRXen depending on the offset of your wheels. Also, the R888s you list as possibilities are R-compound tires, and would be pretty crappy for daily driving, especially in Chicagoland during the winter.

Depending on the power you shouldnt have to much of an issue with any of the popular street tires.

Iv had Star Specs and XS's with ~200hp/160tq and never really had an issue with traction.

I wouldn't run them in the Winter, I planned on using these with new wheels when Spring has set in for good. Also, I don't expect them to last 20k miles either -_- I'm thinking of Motegi Traklites, RPF1s, 949s or even some Koseis(possibly a backup set). Money isn't a real big issue since I live with my parents and make a decent amount. However, I just can't justify spending on Volks so I'm not considering them(I can't even find full specs either(weight wise)).

Well, it's going to be a fully built GSR(it's in the process) with a twinscroll turbo kit from AFI(awaiting shipment). It's probably best to run minimal boost to keep it under control. Thanks for the input on the star specs, I was thinking about getting them before creating this thread. I also did search on google for fitment but couldn't find a clear answer.
