More info on NASA HPDE and Races at Lowe's August 23/24
Due to popular demand, we have added an HPDE 2 for Lowe's Motor Speedway as well as the HPDE 1 and HPDE 3 groups. HPDE 3 can run a full weekend or a one day only if desired. We need instructors also, and instructors will run in the HPDE 3 sessions and also during shot gun ride sessions.
Prices are as follows:
HPDE 1, 2 : $275.00
HPDE 3: $230.00 (one day only = $150)
Time Trials: $230 for weekend (one day only = $150).
Garages are still available for $65 all weekend.
There will be NO night sessions.
On August 13 (Wednesday), we will be mailing by USPS track wristbands to preregistered drivers and their crew. Racers get three free crew and HPDE/Time Trialers get themselves and one other person in free.
We will continue to mail wristbands up until Friday August 15. If you register after that point, you will need to go wait in line at the Will Call/ticket booth outside the gate in order to get your wristband to enter. FYI: The only people that forgot their wristbands for the July Hyperfest at Summit Point were Honda Challenge people, so be sure and remember your wristbands!!!!
LATE FEE BEGINS AFTER FRIDAY, AUGUST 15.
RACERS PLEASE LIST TRANSPONDER NUMBER WHEN YOU REGISTER.
Don't forget to reserve hotel rooms by August 14 to get low rate!
To get hotel information and register, see http://www.nasaracing.net/03Aug23/index.shtml
See all of you soon!

Re: More info on NASA HPDE and Races at Lowe's August 23/24 (NASAlaura)
Is there any 'shot gun' info for the instructors?
Will there be instructors required for the level 3 students? (I am not sure how may people will have already driven LMS enough of times to be placed level 3)
Will there be plenty of instructors for the hyper-drive students (are the hyper-drive spaces filling up?)?

Answers:
Instructors will run with HPDE 3 and shot gun sessions for their personal track time. HPDE 3 students will be assigned an instructor if they request one.
Most of hyperdrive registration occurs at the track, so it is hard to tell how full the sessions will be at this point.
E-mail me at registration@nasaracing.net with more questions you may have.

I would race but money restrictions leave that near impossible. The only thing that needs to be fixed on the car is the 5th gear retaining ring.
Anyone wanna sponsor a car for a weekend? At this rate it is a guaranteed second place car

are you sending out wristbands to those that pre-register for the hyperdrives?
Also, what is the price of admission?

Unfortunately...I can not go!! No racing...no spectating just working
My bf was gonna go to do the hyperdrive....so there's really no need to pre-reg for that?? He can just sign up when he gets there???
He said he couldn't find anything about it on your site.

I must say I'm a little surprised.
I can't afford to fix the car in time...it seems all that pimpy stuff I bought early in the year kinda blew the budget all to hell.

Hyperdrive registration is on the http://www.hyper-fest.com website. You can register in advance or at the track, but if you wait to do it at the track be sure and get there early!!
Hyperdrive participants do have to pay the gate fee.

All Racers, instructors, time trialers and HPDErs that are preregistered should have received an e-mail confirmation tonight (Tuesday evening) and are being mailed a packet that includes wristbands and paddock passes.
Schedule will be posted by tomorrow evening! (as long as Chris can finish it tomorrow morning......)

And for even more fun:
"Small Bore/ AI Practice" = Everybody at once.
Guess I should clean my mirrors real good. Practice could get exciting.

There are still slots in HPDE 1, 2, 3. We prefer that you register in advance so that we know how many instructors to get and can assign one in advance. If you do not preregister, there is a $50 late fee. If you cannot preregister, we can take your registration at the track, but please arrive Friday evening or very early Saturday morning so that we can take care of your registration as quickly as possible and get you an instructor.

Speak for yourself. I like having our own run group, but I can't blame NASA for not giving it to us when nobody registers.
