Default tokico illumina question

the gc kit comes with new shock mount bushings (upper) and a metal washer. does the washer go on top inbetween the bushing and nut or on bottom between the lower bushing and the shock rod? the rod is taperd so that the washer wont fall down, but it looks like it may be intended to be on top.

You definitely need one on the bottom, but I would prefer a washer in both places.

A stock car has 2.

Just use one of the ones that came off the car to start with...

you have got to have 2!

i put mine together and didnt use the bottom one. And then thought about it.

Without the bottom one the rod will go thru the bushing and push the nut thru your hood when you add weight to it.

Without the top bushing it could slip out completely.

My advice. Have 1 in each place! I personally things its the only way possible !

yeah, thats your problem. find where your old ones went.

i should not that it is IMPERATIVE that you put that top washer on before driving around, like want2race mentions, your shock will come out of the housing and destroy itself.
