How do you run your fuel sample line? I'm thinking of something coming off the top of the fuel filter like I think Scott has, but if someone can post pictures and/or list materials of different options, that would be helpful.

John,
I ran a T after the fuel regulator valve. When I asked about the GCR and the requirement to sample before the fuel rail, the SFR Cheif of tech said "it matters, but it doesn't matter."

Doesn't your Honda have a sample port from the factory. It should be in the engine bay somewhere. Usually it's a schraeder vavle.
Usually they don't and to really satisfy the rules you need to make sure the sampling location is away form the engine.
You can do a number of things to set up the sampling line. The biggest challenge is to come up with an outlet to run the line off of:
1)You can modify the banjo bolt on the fuel filter by drilling and tapping a hole into the top of it
2)Buy a B&M fuel pressure guage which comes with a nice replacement banjo bolt that has a tapped NPT hole already in it.
Once that problem is solved you just need a NPT to AN adapter. You will most likely go from 1/8" Npt to AN -4. You also need a 90 fitting and then an 18" -4 line. The line should be capped with a valve or plug.
No pictures of my setup. Outside of the banjo bolt it ran me about $40.
One quick Honda "tid-bit"... Not sure if they are available but the 1st generation CRX and Civic came with a BSP threaded banjo bolt on the fuel filter. This basically elminated the first problem and the rest of the banjo bolt is compatible with the later fuel filters.

check improvedtouring.com. theres lots of good resources there about how to install the fuel sample port. my friend installed a schraeder valve on my fuel filter and rigged a pressure guage too. i think theres someone who is selling cheap kits for fuel sampling as well.
Here's one way: http://www.fuelports.com/
Here's another:
I bought a kit made up by King Motorsports. It's a drilled stock banjo bolt (bigger holes than the B&M fuel pressure gauge kit banjo) with a male AN fitting welded to it. I shortened the hose kit (90 degree female on one end and male plug on the other)they provide to the length of my tower strut and have it zip tied to three tape stand offs. If I'm required to give a sample I cut the zips and I've got enough length to provide the sample outside the engine compartment.
Scott, who doesn't want a fuel leak igniting in his engine bay.....
