for $250 they damn well better set the car up for you. And change your oil.

The courses they put up will be alot smaller than your average days.
I've been there, but maybe I am a slow learner, I picked up more concepts than acquiring new techniques. But now, I am a much faster driver with those theories stuck in my mind over time...the simple theory of "looking ahead".

I was going to host one in Burlington, WI a few years ago, but MGA decided to go from charging a small donation to $1500/day for an event. That pretty much blew out the budget. The cost of event sites with small number of participants is the problem. Milwaukee Region pays around $1000 per day for Miller Park. Add to that all the school expenses and one would have to charge around $225 per person to make a well deserved income for the host.

the only nagative from the class....
I was so pumped on adrenaline all day during my 40 runs that i almost passed out from exhaustion on the way home. I woke up the next morning for my regions autoX and couldnt plug my brain in till the end of the day.
Kick *** class, kick *** instructors, I am sure it will all come together next event.

Dehydration is not your friend
Drink lots and lots of fl00ids during all day sk00ls like this (and track weekends too). I'll drink 3-4 gallons of water a weekend when i'm at the track driving in the summertime.

I went a few months ago. Well worth it. As was said before drink lots of water and don't forget sunblock.

Just an update:
Yesterday, at my first event since the above-mentioned evo school, I've gone from 3 seconds behind first place (for 4 events in a row) to 1 second behind first place.

Now the key is to retain the information you learned. It usually will stick around for the first couple of events afterward, but many forget the concepts quickly (myself included).
The mental stuff is going to take me many events before I feel like I'm actually putting it into full practice, but I might need some reminders of the technical stuff by then. Some of the fellow Evo students were second-timers there for a brush-up.
