Default D16A6 Assembly Problem, Need Some Help

So I'm putting together the motor for my STS2 CRX and I've run into a problem. When I went to put the head on the block the dowel pins were missing. I've got a spare block so I can pull the pins from there but the bigger problem is on the other side of the block. According to the FSM there is an oil control jet that protrudes into the head. Unfortunately when the machine shop trued the block they shaved the oil control jet flat with the block. In the picture in the FSM it looks like the oil control jet can be removed and replaced. If that is the case how would I get out a jet that is flush cut with the block? If the jet is removable I guess I can get the one out of the old block with a pair of pliers but I want to make sure it is supposed to come out before I start yanking on it. TIA, hoping to get the CRX out to an autocross this weekend!

Yes, the oil control jet comes out. There is an o-ring that holds it in. If you are going to buy a new jet, you might as well get new dowels as well. They can get kind of cruddy and weak.

To get the old jet out, you could start a self tapping screw into it and then pull up. It should not take much to get it out.

Yep, that worked! I used a coat hanger as a hook pick to get the good one out of the old block. The shaved one came out with a pair of pliers pulling on the screw I ran into the hole. Thanks!
