Default Can't get a clear answer! HELP!

I have a 00 Honda Civic DX hatch. The rules state that my wheels must be factory size and the engine must be factory, etc...

Well, If I were to run 15" wheels, and or put a 00 SI motor, and or swap my rear drums for SI discs, would that not be stock? Because the SI is technically just a different trim level of car than my DX. Even tho mine is a hatch and the SI is a coupe. Anyone know the answer to this? What class would a 00 DX hatch with 15" wheels and rear disc swap be? Thanks!

You'd have to convert EVERYTHING to Si specs, including the body, so that's defintely not legal in stock. Not sure where the two cars are listed in the rulebook, but that looks a lot like a car for Street Prepared.

Don't know exactly where you are using the car but for most rulebooks that I know of, unless the DX and the Si are listed on the same line or classification together then you can't swap parts over from one to the other.

If the classification line only says DX, they mean the car should be a stock DX. If there are multiple models all jumbled together on the same classification line then you might be okay but I would still reread the comments about the car needing to be stock to see if a parts interchange within the same grouping was allowed.

From what I understand (I posed a question about a rear brake swap in STS a while ago), even the EX and Si are listed on seperate lines, so you couldn't do any of the mods you're talking about. The DX is pretty light comparatively (no power, sunroof, etc.) so it would be a completely different car with those mods.

I'm still trying to figure out why the EX and Si are on different lines, because they're both the same shell basically, and would be identical if the expensive goodies were swapped.
