Default Bushing HELP!

I posted this in the suspension forum, but figured I'd have a better shot at finding someone who know's they're stuff here.. mods feel free to remove one or the other if this against the rules

This is for a '97 Accord SE. I was wondering if there is supposed to be a spacer between the two metal top hats like the 1st(seperated), mine are the second pic, is there supposed to be a spacer where the arrows point? thanks

the spacer is just to line up the two surfaces in parallel. If your swaybar and control arm are parallel with no spacer, that is not an issue. Just make sure you are not over tightening the bolt and killing the bushings. Also make sure the bolt has threads so that you are getting the bushings tight. There should be a slight deformation to the poly when fully tightened.
Hope this helps.
